I remembered the old WipEout series the other day, made in Liverpool as well! Class series, shame there's nothing on the current gen, it's all PSP isn't it?

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is pretty good as well, made by the same guys who did Burnout.

Yeah I like racing games that have weapons and abilities/skills involved, pure simulations bore me to tears.

rFactor is all the racing games you could want.

Brilliant graphics and all classes of vehicles available as addons, from Trucks to this year's F1 models. Probably thousands of tracks available and all kinds of extras and vehicle setups etc. Loads of leagues and race servers to try out online.

Best. Race sim. Ever.

There's Wipeout HD for Ps3 which is a good game.  Think it was made free for PSN after that whole hacking thingy.

And to add, RFactor 2 well into development. It's a cracking race sim, as you say, the best out there.
I might have single handedly ruined Warrington's picture houses, but personally thought my pocket money was better spent at Anfield.

Is R Factor out on consoles now? Thought it was just PC?

Nobody has mentioned it yet but I really like Dirt 3, and F1 2011 should be out in the next couple of months?

iRacing is worth checking out as well but it isn't as good as rFactor. rFactor is still the one to get. A few NASCAR teams use iRacing for simulations but then i also think F1 teams use rFactor.

For PS3 the best you can get are GRID, NFS Shift and Dirt games.
If you like street racing I'd say get the Midnight Club Los Angeles - it's lot of fun and much better then NFS Undercover.

You don't need a bells and whistles PC. Any decent spec machine from the last 3 years should run it OK.

Works with any controller, from Keyboard to G27 Wheel.

As for being fully licensed for F1, that's already taken, but there are at least four various 2011 spec F1 addons available, as well as F1 sims from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's etc including the 6-wheel Elf Tyrell from the 70's :D

I usually race Meganes though.

Does anyone know of any steering wheels that would be suitable for a 4 year old to play GT V on the PS3.

I dont want one with pedals etc, just one that I could customise the buttons/paddles so the braking and steering handy on the wheel position. I'm not expecting him to be great at it, but he likes GT V but the normal controller is too hard for him to work on the toggles. Maybe I could customise them a bit.

The problem is that he's got used to the Wii wheel which is no problem, and playing NFS Hot pursuit on the Ipad lets him just turn the Ipad for steering. He keeps trying to steer by twisting the controller the thick tw*t.  :-)

Or is there a good racing game for the PS3 that allows the controller to be used like the Wii or the Ipad? Does the Move thingy support any of this sort of stuff?

All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.
