He gets payed to race, he was on the racing line.  Maldonado was off the track.  It is Maldonado who could have been smarter.  He would have known Hamilton tyres were gone, he still could have overtook him if he had slowed down just a bit to get back on the track.

of course they both could have been smarter, but hamilton was pushing hard and that sent maldonado off the track.

hamilton could have finished 4th if he drove smarter at the end, just like maldonado could have had 3rd if he was too

Do you actually watch F1 lol.  This isnt the first time Maldonado has done this and not the first time with Hamilton either.

i do. lol!

of course he didnt deliberately sabotage his own race! was just a mistake. hamilton has previous doing what maldonado just did too. mistakes happen

That Maldonado-Hamilton crash was an accident waiting to happen,a pair of idiots who are a danger to the other drivers.
Lewis has been very much different this season, more mature. Yes, he races hard, but he's fair. Maldonado is just a knob.

He could have finished 3rd if Maldonado hadnt rammed him off the track....... Anyway who cares if Hamilton sent him of the track, thats all part of defending his position.  Happens all the time in F1,  Hamilton was on the racing line.  Maldonado should have let it go and try again.  He lost his cool yet again and took it out on another driver.  With any luck the stewards will take extremely firm action with him now, he needs to be stopped.

you've contradicted yourself though. you said maldonado knew he would take him before the end, now youre saying hamilton could have finished third

Does it really matter though? As Webber wasn't going to be able to pass him anyway because it was yellow...

How is driving straight into another car a mistake???  And how have I contradicted myself??  I didnt say he would have finsihed 3rd, I said Lewis  "could" have finished 3rd.  Likewise Maldonado "could" have finished 3rd if he had just accepted he was of the track and  let Hamilton go and try again.

It'll be typical if schumi gets that podium taken away. He's drove bter than ever since his return this season but has had absolutely fuck all.luck.

To be fair, Hamilton has driven well this season and for the most part his retirement wasn't his fault. Maldonado just needed to be patient but was all over him.

It's still pretty funny though.

Hamilton was well within his rights to use up all the track, he had the racing line and was ahead in the corner. Aggressive driving is fine, he was defending. Maldonado was off the track, therefore had no claim to the corner and no right to put his car there. He should have lifted or braked and slotted in behind.

It's 100% Maldonados fault.

If he couldnt see Hamilton was there then id quite happily go with it being a mistake.  But he could see Hamilton and he still rammed into the side of him.  That is not a mistake.

Looking at the replay, Lewis could maybe have been a bit more smart but I'd certainly say it was Maldonado's fault and I'd expect him to get a ten place penalty for Silverstone

I thought it was hilarious myself. Just objectively you can see that it was Maldonado's fault.

Gary Anderson said that the argument will be whether Schumacher was going faster or not, whereas the FIA will say there's no point in opening the DRS unless you're wanting to increase your speed.
