Got to control 'your frustration' of face the consequences, those bouncing rackets (thrown in a tantrum) are going to injure somebody one day as well.

Lucky the official didn't get 'frustrated' at getting his shin cut and chin the brat.

Feel sorry for the crowd being short changed, but only one fella to blame here.

By the way as wrong as he was, it's hardly worth the Police getting involved. Looks like the injured official may have took this further (probably been advised to seek compo etc knowing the world we now live in)

This was an accident, an avoidable one, but an accident all the same.

But do we know if it was accident though?Maybe the line referee made some calls Nalbandian didn't like and he just lost it there.

Either way, what he did was plain dumb,he could have easily broken the old man's leg there.

Nalbandian is a nutter, what did he really think would happen when he kicked that board? A disqualification is the least he deserved, should never be invited back to Queens. His speech after was ridiculous, just say sorry and get off the court you twat

If true, that judge should be ridiculed more than Nalbandian.  Man up a little.  Nalbandian obviously didn't mean it.

I highly doubt he would of intentionally done it. Some people control their anger better than others and I'm one that can't after ripping my football shirt off after missing so many chances. But he should of smashed his racket instead. That's what I usually do.

Probably a member of the public called the police rather than the official.

I doubt he injured him intentionally, but watching the video, the linesman was sitting right on top of the tiny piece of ad board. And he went straight to him. At the least he wanted to intimidate the guy IMO.

Roddick's looking good pre tournament and would like him to go far though he's playing against Briton Jamie Baker.
"My coach told me to warm up just before the break. He told me I was going to take care of Kaka. I didn't think it was possible to turn things around but in the dressing room at halftime Rafa Benitez was calm - "We are Liverpool FC, we have so many fans, we are not going to be slaughtered. If we can score a goal quickly we push on from there.""

As long as one of them is seeded 1, and one of them is seeded 3, they will be in the same half. It always is seed 1 and 3 in one half, 2 and 4 in the other. Cant be certain it extends beyond this though so I'm going to check.

Edit: Seems like its just the top 4. Always scheduled to meet at the semi final stage.

Murray could go out in the first round.

i dont think it's true. i think top 4 are picked random to face each other in the semis if they make it.

That's not true. Only 1 and 2 are separated and 3 and 4 are supposed to be drawn randomly. ::) Over the years Djokovic and Federer have been 1 and 3, 2 and 3 etc but they were always drawn together in the same half.

Never seen anyone play as badly as davydenko against novak there. lost 6-0 first set with 8 Double faults. then retired with some sorta mystery injury.

in other news reality check for murray as he lost in straight sets to lucky loser jeremy chardy.  :hump

From what I've seen of her, she needs to get her serve more consistent and then she'll be up there I reckon. She seems to serve a few double faults, even in matches she wins.

Looks promising though on the womens side with Robson and Watson and possibly that Konta too. Hoping a few of the younger guys can break through too. Golding, Brody and Morgan have all done well on the juniors, but can they step up?

On that note is it easier for promising girls to make the step up more easily than promising boys (not just British ones)? I’m sure I read recently that there’s only one teenager in the Men’s Top 100 (Tomic I think) whereas there’s tons in the Women’s.

Does it take longer for Men to reach their peak?

Yeah I remeber that American kid that was destined for big things...Donald Young was it? He's pretty much done nothing in the pro game.

I think the difference between the men and womens game are that in the mens you need to be on top at everything. Serving, returning, court movement etc...if you ar elacking you are found out quick.

In the womens game, I believe you can get away with deficiencies in your game a bit more. If you have a big serve or can smash winners you will progress to a certain point...maybe around the top 50...if you want to be top 10 and consistently challenging you need to be on top of everything.

All my opinion of course. (And of course, these players that may *only* have a good serve or good at returning etc will still wipe the floor with most people and are exceptionally good!)

Would guess it has a lot to do with men maturing physically later than women. A girl in her late teens is likely to be as strong as any of the women on tour, a teenage guy simply won't have the power of a man in his early to mid twenties
