Absolutely no problem, we will beat the Geordies on Friday. Nailed on and guaranteed. We can beat any of the big / good sides. It's just the small and weaker ones we struggle against. A bit of a 'small club' mentality developing on the pitch right now.

Would like to see same team apart from Bellamy for Maxi.

Think it'll be a draw though.

0-0, I even think, the frustration might get to us and we might lose this one. Not scoring goals is the second worst thing that can happen to a team.

Not going to get excited for this one, I'll just end up disappointed.

                  Reina
Johnson  Skrtel  Agger   Enrique

   Henderson Gerrard Shelvey

   Maxi                          Bellamy
                   Suarez

this. or Carroll on instead of Shelvey. quite frankly, I just want to see us play both Maxi and Bellamy, and not Downing. to be fair Downing had a relatively good game yesterday, but he's been piss poor lately.

To be honest, he did more or less everything right yesterday up until the final ball. His crossing and finishing was up there with the worst I've ever seen.

Looking forward to this, a good test. I expect to see Shelvey or Spearing join Adam in CM in a 4231.
Take your pick from any 3 of Suarez, Bellamy, Maxi & Downing playing behind Carroll.

Won't it be hilarious if it all goes well for both the team & Carroll and he gets two in a 3-1 win.

honestly, after watching him for half a season now, i can't tell how he was ever considered a good crosser. he has maybe one or two good ones per match. our first choice winger having ZERO assists or goals is a huge part of our inefficiency in front of goal. so much of our attack comes off the wing from either Downing Johnson or Enrique now but our crossing's been poor all season. this is why i've been begging for us to play 4-3-3 all season. our most productive wingers are maxi and bellamy and they're more of the cut inside winger/striker hybrid type that work best in a 4-3-3. we need more and younger of those.

Anything but 4-4-2 really but I would like

                                      Reina

      Johnson          Skrtel          Agger         Enrique

                                     Adam

       Downing                                              Maxi
                                    Suarez

Quite an aggresive line up but we wont score otherwise!  :P

Spot on.  He'll get another 20-30 minutes, and that's as it should be.  The last thing we want is to be taking even a tiny chance with his comeback.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like this;

Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Spearing
Jonjo      Adam
Downing     Suarez     Maxi

Can't see Gerrard starting, but Jonjo can provide the late runs into the box just as well.

Why no Johnson?

I actually think Kelly's attacking play when he roams forward is better. We always seem to win when Kelly starts. It would freshen things up a bit as well. I'm not overly bothered because it's not a major area of concern but I'd like to see Kelly start this one.

Home game again?! I expect we draw...
But, since Newcastle is top 7 teams, I think we will score against them.
2-2 or 1-1

We hit the posts twice and our captain miss a penalty.

Maxi's scored a few goals in recent weeks but I don't believe his all round play deserves a start. He's annoymous most of the game but always seems to be in the right position at the right time to score a tap in (which is great) but Bellamy offers more in terms of set pieces and attacking the full back. I'd go for Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Spearing, Adam, Downing, Bellmay, Suarez and Carroll. If Carroll isn't up for this game he won't be up for any. Time to pull his socks up.
