Goalkeepers making awesome saves is getting ridiculous now. Beyond a joke. And off the line last touch of the game. Fuck!!!! Someone on here broke a few mirrors or walked under ladders. Who was it? Own up.

We just cant finish teams off its been the same story for 20 years, we are in need of a poacher or someone who can get on the end of quality crosses.
Downing soz mate you just aint been providing any quality from your crosses
Carrol looks like a lumbering disinterested oaf in my opion

4 points lost now in past 2 game partly because of Charlie Adam but mostly because we cant put our chances away.

And once again the opposition goalkeeper played a blinder.

Ill go again then.

Our crap transfer work in the summer (and one particular one in January) is being shown up on the pitch. So it should too. Downing up against the Blackburn reserve, and still couldn't pick up his first assist or goal. His end product is shocking

Great to have Stevie back and visibly looked better when he came on but our decision making in the final 3rd is so shockingly poor.

Won't be in the top4 come the end of the season and don't deserve to be.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

We generally played fine, but yet again absolutely useless in front of goal.

I'm fuming. First time this season I've doubted whether we'll get top 4.

Really? Our inability to score in several games now gave you no worries? Carroll does not belong in the first team. He's a waste of space and clearly his aerial prowess isn't what we thought it was.

Their goalie was good yes, and it isn't the first time, but that is too easy an excuse now.

Suarez had countless chances and couldn't hit the target. Carroll should have scored. Dowing should have scored.

The funny thing is, I know who it will be who gets the blame, but Luis was as bad as any of our lads today, he was so so wasteful.

Plus ca change, and all that...

A few thoughts:

- Decent second half, but a poor first half cost us.
- Passing was poor today, especially first half. Adam and Henderson particularly at fault.
- Our decision making and team play in the final third needs to improve. Seems to be off the cuff/ improvised most of the time. Needs work.
- Downing is looking better.
- Gerrard is class. Great to have him back.

Brainless and impatient.

Players taking the wrong option and not recycling the ball, pointless fucking shitty low percentage crosses from deep and with 1 or no players in the box time and again.  Can someone teach these fuckers how to head a ball please.

Something very telling today.  Chelsea also drew 1-1 at home to a shit team.  The difference was that they really were attacking throughout the final 10 minutes and should have scored.  We did nothing for about 20 minutes until the dying seconds.

The team doesn't seem to be setup to press and take risks for a winner.  It's like the default setting is wait injury time then try to attack with everything we've got.

We are still in a good position to get into the top 4, but imo we won't.  It's not just that we need a poacher... we need creativity as well and that was missing for long periods today.

Well that's 4th place gone. I said I didn't think we'd get it after Wigan, and now I'm sure. Not because we're not good enough or because we're too far behind, but simply because we don't score enough, we don't take advantage of other teams slipping up, and worst of all, we're regressing.

We seem to be getting worse and worse with each game, losing the ball more, attacking less, losing confidence. Kenny needs to sort it out because if we're being honest he's doing a poor job when it comes to on-the-pitch matters, particularly in terms of how we set up and go forward.

Questions need to be asked of everyone.

Terrible result. Time to start calling a spade a spade. Forget referees, forget 'superb' goalkeeping performances. There were at least 3 absolute sitters that we should have given Bunn no opportunity to save. Our chance conversion is apalling.

Make no mistake, this is an awful Blackburn team. 1/5 with the bookies to win today.

Andy Carroll is the unluckiest man in Merseyside. For all the flack he gets he played well and was desperately unlucky with the saved header in the first half and the clearance off the line in the last second of the game.

Downing was the best I've seen him play yet, Henderson was quite good he still makes some rash decisions, back 4 were as solid as ever special mention to Johnson who was excellent. Match with probably lost in midfield with so many displaced passes. Suarez was quite poor compared to his usual standards.

Stop being such a bunch of moaning bastards, we actually played well we just struggle with an end product and we are still only 3 points away from 4th place.

I'll try to be Johnny Positive here...after this clusterfuck of a start to this season, at worst we'll be 3 points off Chelsea and 4 off Arsenal (if the latter wins). It's amazing. 4th is giftwrapped for us with a big bow on top if we can somehow manage to get this mess sorted.
