Great result - after they equalised, I thought it would be difficult to get all 3 points, but then Johnson pops up with a Riise-esque goal.

I've missed the Goals from our Number 2 - hope to see more from him now this season.

Redknapp talking some absolute bollocks on here! :lmao

Mikel is too young to play where he does apparently. Yet, Lucas at the same age does it.

Torres will be looking on the bench annoyed that Drogba is ahead of him because Drogba has only scored 3 or 4 goals since January. So has Torres! :lmao

Lucas was a brick wall for the first half.  seriously got his foot on everything.  the yellow caused him to back off a little bit after that, but still a good performance.

Pretty pathetic in the second half, but considering Chelsea were wank for about 80 minutes and we were for only about 40, think we deserved it. Very strange game, quite a flat atmosphere at the ground, no surprise there, but it seemed to infect the players. Looked like a run of the mill friendly at times, very odd. Delighted with the 3 points obviously, more so when you consider Suarez was pretty poor by his usual standards, save a few fantastic moments of harassment.
It's amazing how differently people can see games! I'm not saying who is right, but I saw it very differently. Yes, we struggled early on in the second half, but you'd expect that at Stamford Bridge, so I was really pleased with the way we weathered the storm after the equaliser and gradually got back in the game to the point where I thought we carried the most threat going into the last 10 minutes.

Oh and I also thought it was an intense game played in a good atmosphere and Suarez was excellent, epitomising the battling 2nd half when we were under the cosh.

Like I say, strange how differently we can see it  :)

Pleased for Adam. Some good performances today all round - thought Henderson showed us what Kenny sees in him in that little cameo too. Had a shaky period but held on, not least thanks to Reina. Travelling Kop, as ever, superb. Should be a massive boost to confidence. Got to be happy with the result and the first half performance.

He was and perhaps the international break, time off to rest might give us a clue about how to ration him. Two games a week and we will not see this Charlie fucking Adam.

We can see a useful Adam if we play someone like Bellamy, like today. Bellamy both pressed and provided some cover when we were attacked down the flanks, which made Adam's job a hell of a lot easier.

That said, Adam was neither very far from what he normally is nor was he shit. But the system we played provided the platform, as it did for all of our players really, to perform.

First thing to say, get the fuck in :)

Regarding Johnson, maybe the people on here might lay off him for at least a week!

I think it would have ended up a draw if Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas never made the change of bringing Torres on. Second half Chelsea were the better team, we stopped pressing up the pitch and Drogba was a nuisance. However the money men spoke and Torres had to come on, which suited us. Also Kenny got his subs better, Henderson was brilliant when he came on. I haven't been his biggest fan so far but he is young, and developing. He will have to be patient to get his next chance but little cameo's like today won't hurt his chances.

Big thank you to Torres and Meireles for waisting time near the end.

Fucking made up, thanks God I was proved wrong and we played more of a 4-5-1 and not 4-4-2. We won with a brilliant effort from the lads.

Something to cheer for after the shit that happened today. YNWA and thanks lads for turning a shitty day to a relatively good one.

Charlie Adam hands down man of the match, applied pressure that gave us te first goal, and set up the second, well in!

Was so chuffed when we got that second. Still got joint best defense in the league to boot, ave it!

Sheer class from Charlie. That pass to Johnson for the goal was sublime.

Thought Chelsea would get a second considering the pressure and chances they created but credit to our lads for knuckling down and overall
I think we deserved the win.

I thought Martin Skrtel was outstanding today. The Skrtel-Agger partnership should be retained for the City game imo.

Delighted for Kenny.

Feels so good to get that winning feeling back.

A great away win there. Bit tense in the 2nd half. Kenny will seriously have to look at starting both Maxi and Bellamy more often. Loved the way the front 4 pinged it around in the 1st half.

First half and, save a 20 minute spell in the second half, we looked completely in control of the outcome of the game. At Stamford Bridge.

Doesn't need anymore analysing than that. Immense performance and result.

Lucas boss today, Maxi obviously brings something to our attack, that movement from him and Bellamy is so badly needed, and we look far less reliant on Luis with them on the pitch. Adam very good today as well.

The serial moaners will pick bones outa something to whinge about.  Was a superb game, Chelsea were the better side for first 20mins of second half, rest of half was fairly even.  We tore em a new one in the first half.  We looked much more inventive and dangerous going forward compared to Chelsea.  Excellent.

So relieved right now!  I just hope the fact that we ended up winning doesn't gloss over the fact that there was alot that needed to be fixed about that performance.  I'm sure I wasn't the only one watching that game thinking how shit we were playing for big portions of it. We were a bit lucky in the end.

That being said, so chuffed at the moment.  Although I'm going to try get 2 hours sleep before getting up for work as it's 4am now... :P
