At the game tonight I wondered what aliens would think if they landed at half-time. 40 odd thousand people watching blokes sticking forks into the ground and flattening divots.

In the same way, wonder what they'd think if the landed at the dressage at the Olympics...

Driving through biggish villages which are miles away from any town or city (too far to comute), always wonder what the locals do for a living. Some prob work on farms etc but there wouldn't be enough farms to keep all employed. Had a journey recently up the west coast of Scotland and every say 20miles or so you come across these largeish villages (almost towns) with no visable commerce whatsover, except for a post office, pub and shop or something.
