Am I the only one that thought the red card was stonewall? Rightly or wrongly players have been told they can't jump into tackles like that. Was always going to go
If winning the ball cleanly is a red card then we may aswell give up on football now. This is NOT basketball. This isn't a non-contact sport, and if you win the ball fairly you don't deserve to have a foul given against you, let alone a red card.
It's a farce, and unfortunately it's not the first time it's happened this season. Spearing and Rodwell are just two other examples. What is wrong with using two feet to win the ball? It's not reckless or dangerous when you barely even touch the other man. It's lunacy and in a few years time, you simply won't be able to tackle.
If people are happy to see football ruined by these decisions then that's fine, but I'm not.
