Decent Barbers
« on: August 17, 2011, 02:25:16 PM »
Anyone recommend any decent barbers in the City Centre?

I used to go to the fella facing Kirkdale cemetary but with work I don't get much of a chance to venture there and need something city centre based.

Been to Scissor Kicks and the one by the Met Quarter and think both are pretty average, anyone know anywhere else thats really good and reasonable in price?

Well i wouldnt recomend Voudoo for him on bold street. Been going there years and dont know why. Very expensive and not very good. (most of the time anyway) Need to find a new one myself.

Voodoo isn't cheap is it. I only get a basic dry cut and a little wax, but only the fella in Fazakerley seems to do it right and I will struggle getting to him.

My hair grows quicker than Ron Jeremy on a movie set, so ideally I need something in the city...

Yeah tried them, worst haircut I've ever had if I am honest. She made me look like Eddie Munster!

Scissor Kicks is next to my offices so I went there today and the last time I got it done. The Albany on Dale Street was decent but not cheap, but that has gone now.

Think I might send someone around the town scoping them out for me.

Whats the one opposite Kirkdale Cemetry mate, is it the one by the Farmers? Looking for a decent barbers.
Smithy in Smith & Wesson on County Road is a top barber if thats any good for you.
Ferguson has probably told Moyes that he will be his recommendation to take over.

It is by the Farmers mate yes, its called "The Barber Shop" no points for originality, but do a cracking cut.

Also been Ace Face a little further down, both are decent but hard me getting to with work.

Moving near County Road soon so might try there, just ideally wanted something in town so I can go during working hours.

At least the mods who go there can put their helmets on before they come out. I had to walk home with hair like Doddy when she had finished with it! Pity, seems like a nice girl like.  :(

She's a bit of a nut case like! She got on my boyfriend's case because he had a mohawk cut in and it wasn't her who did it. Out of politeness he went there the next time- let's just say he hasn't gone back! ;)

Gerry her name is, my hair is naturally curly when long enough and she wanted to give me the "Weller Cut." :-S

Seen her at a couple of MOD events she is a decent girl like, I almost rented the flat above her shop a few years back.

realise you after a place in town, been both them ones in Longmoor lane, probally not what you want but by the off chance you ever near waterloo, one of the best Barbers going is Maries In St johns Road Waterloo, people go to her from all over the North end, she's as mad as a box of frogs but cuts good hair anyway you want it, If any playrights wanted gritty dialouge that would have you pissing yourself just spend half an hour in Maries with a tape recorder. heart of gold our marie

I know its not in the city centre, but there is one on Allerton Road near the junction with Penny Lane (opposite the old woolworths thats now a tesco express), the bird in there is stunning and for a number one (shaved noggin to the uneducated) they charge you a fiver!
However, I happily get the bus from Huyton just to have her tits in my face whilst she's doing my sidies!  :D

BOOM! Quality haircut and they are all good lads in there, funny as fuck, £10.50. Happy days.
