Ah, going to say, £20m seems a bit light. :P

I have about £200m in the bank too, wish Werner would build a new fucking stadium already.

bit of an indifferent start to my debut season in the belgian top flight. sitting on 2-0-4, which i'll take. 2 of the 4 losses i was up 1-0 at half time against much stronger opponents but couldn't hold them out. conceding far too much and have shipped in 12 goals in 6 games. since the club turned professional my entire tranfser budget of 160k was sapped completely by signing up players on full time contracts to get them into proper training. but sold off my best striker and defender for 100k combined and stretched that out and brought 6 or so players in that have vastly improved my squad.

Any recomendations for a centre half who is dominant in the air? fed up on conceeding off corners, 3rd season with liverpool about 20 million to spend.

Samba? He scores quite a few as well.

Just saw off Huddersfield 3-1 at home. So that's P 14 W 14 in the leage (and I've won all Cup/European games at home too). Have Chelsea (3rd), Bolton (12th), Arsenal (9th) and Villa (17th) to come.

Had a look at him and sakho, couldnt get either for under 20, ended up getting papastathopoulos for 11 million, who at 6,1 doesnt really solve my arial problems, but has beast defender stats, 18 tackling 18 marking, 18 pace. Playing a really high back line as all my defenders are pacy, and so far paying dividends as won 4 out of 4 in the league including going to chelsea. At old trafford next so we will see! and doumbia as a poacher- unreal.

8th season with Bristol Rovers, just won in my first ever game in the champions league, 6-1 away to CSKA Moscow! Won 4 out of 4 in the league including a 3-1 victory at reigning champions Chelsea who finished 4 points above me last season, my best game ever so far by a distance.

anyone get frustrated when dominating opponents then all of a sudden they get 1 shot on target for a goal? and to rub it in it about 80% of them come from players that show "that's his first ever goal for xxx" or "he's scored on debut" and the likes

Getting battered from set pieces and scoring rarely when attacking them. There is something wrong with set pieces while defending them, about 3 or 4 players decide to run from the area and then return again and by the time they return they score a goal.

Anyone had something like this before? Anyone know a decent set piece strategy for defending and attacking because they have been costing me way too much?

yep just had that in the euro cup final against st etienne. keeper had a fucking worldie, they had 2 shots 1 on target scored by a cb who scored his first goal of the season, fucking irate, couldn't hit a cows arse with an orchestra let alone a fucking banjo. I'd beaten Juve and Napoli to get the final and lose to St Etienne, piss off.

Lost the FA Cup final to Man U 5-4 after ET fucking joke of a game, rooney scored when they were down to 10 men with about 20 mins to go i mean just fucking mental. Just fucking despair sometimes.

I tried two seperate saves with both Wigan and Swansea, tried to play wide expansive football like in real life but you get torn apart, Came 14th with Swans and 16th with Wigan, might try Swansea again when the patch comes out and they get Sigurdsson. He's a beast after 2 seasons, passing 18, finishing 15 etc....

Finally beat City after 4 consecutive losses to them (twice in the league and the FA Cup in my 1st season and then again in the Community Shield). A nice 2-0 home win to keep a 100% record after 5 games.  Keep ya mouth shut next time Roberto! :D

Also, Wayne Bridge is a greedy fucker, had him on loan for my first season and wanted £81,000 to make the move permanent. No deal.

Current LFC squad for my 2nd season:

GK: Reina, Steele, Sandomierski

LB: Enrique, Oczipka, Robinson
CB: Agger, Kjaer, Skrtel, Carragher, Wilson, Coates (out on loan)
RB: Johnson, Kelly, Flanagan

CM: Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Shelvey, Hubert(out on loan) (Hazard due in Jan. missed the deadline to secure the deal in summer)
AM: Downing, Bellamy, Kuyt, Torje,

STR: Cavani, Suarez, Carroll

yup. i like blooding them in through cup games, friendlies and the occasional easy beats though. rarely send them out on loan cause most of the time they hardly play or come back to the team saying they would have been better off staying.

Just had a league cup final against spurs, battered them and it was 2-0 in the 90th minute and we are on the attack so i go get myself a cup of tea... comeback and they have equalised in the 9th minute of injury time. Went on to win in extra time like, but has anyone ever had a later goal conceeded?

Scoring is pretty simple, best header to attack near post, and send everyone else away from him so like back post out side area etc so he only has 1 defender to compete with. Aim corners at near post obvs, first season skrtel scored 14 or something stupid like that.

As for defending i was struggling like mad until i changed the match preperation to defending set pieces, its been 10 games and i havent conceeded off one so....

i used to take control of the reserves and arrange loads of friendlies in the gaps in the fixture list so they'd be playing 30+ games a season, that way i could develop my better regens without risking them in the first team

it's a lot of hassle though and a season can take forever so just lately i only keep players who i want developing in the reserves to make sure they're getting maximum playing time

Has anyone else found this completely ridiculous glitch/mistake.

Carra comes to you to say that he is 'concerned' because he is not playing. OK, i will find you a new club as soon as possible. Thanks Boss, i hope you keep your word. I then offer him to clubs only to be informed that Carra will not move as he is desperate to stay!!

BTW, just to echo an earlier point, De Gea and Hernandez are unplayable on this game. I would almost put them in the same bracket as Cavani.

Happens all the time. Frustrating really.

I've also had it where a player comes to me and tells me he requests a transfer, I list him, and he comes back the next day and says he want's to stay or that he's pissed about being forced out of the club.

On the loaning regen front, I only ever send them to a club who say that he will become a "valuable first team member'. Anyone suggesting he'll be cover for the first team can get fucked. I also look at the club profile and, ideally, only send him somewhere with above average youth facilities.

The combination of the two above will ensure that he develops as a player. I posted a screenshot of an Argentinian regen I sent on loan to Kaiserslautern a few pages back. He got the Golden Boot in the Bundesliga and is now in my team with a strike rate as impressive as £34m Leandro Damiao. I'm actualyl considering cashing in on the former or potentially selling Cavani so I can play Damiao and Delgado (regen) up front.

Argentina is the gold mine for regens for me. I'll post a couple of screenshots later tonight but I could essentially fill a team of 4* Argentinian regens. They're incredible. I missed the boat on a left back who went to Villareal and they want £35m for him now. His stats are unreal though.

Finally finished my first season with Fulham. Sneaked a cheeky Champions League place.

Made a LOT of sales at the end of the season, pretty much clearing out all the squad players and have brought in Oxdale-Chamberlain, Smalling (loan), Tiote (for a few million after Newcastle were relegated) and Cairney (Championship player of the season in a relegated Hull side).

Side now looking like:

---------------Schwarzer--------------
Smalling Hughes Hangelaand Riise
------------------Tiote------------------
----------Badelj-----Cairney---------
Chamberlain---------------------Ruiz
-----------------Kadlec----------------

Could do with a new CB and some back up for the striker position but am low on funds.

Also need a keeper as annoyingly I own Guilherme but can't get him a work permit - he's already a star ahead of Schwarzer!

Outside the Shankly gates, I heard a kopite calling...

another one is when a player approaches you asking for more first team football and you tell him you'll let him go in the next window, he says thanks. and straight after when you go to mutually terminate his contract he says that under no circumstance he is willing to leave the club or the likes.
