Ooops. Leading 0-2 against the Mancs and accidently bring on a centreback for my 'keeper in the 70th minute.

Luckily won 1-2 in the end. Mancs 13th. 8)

after spending ages playing 01/02 for a bit of a change, i've gone back to my game, deleted all my saves with the exception of my Basel 1st season game and have been enjoying that.

Tied some key players down to long term contracts and sold off a load of dead wood, tried to buy swiss where possible with a mixture of U21's and Forgotten former internationals.

Destroying the league by 18 odd points and am in the swiss cup semi-final, drew porto in the knockout stages of the CL after topping the group and managed a respectable 1-1 draw in portugal, hopefull of a 1-0 win in basel to put me through

really enjoying it,
The FA now stands for F**king Awfull

In the February of my first season on Liverpool, decided I'd have a look at my scouts and try and get some better/new ones in. Just looked at Comolli, he's on £20k/week :o

No wonder I'm making huge losses with wages like that going to staff, gonna check the rest now too.

Crazy isn't it. I sacked him then hired him a season later on £6,700 p/w.

Suso is boss on this. First season with Liverpool and in December. Suso has made 16 appearances (9 starts) and has seven goals, 6 of them in 13 league appearances playing from the right. Gonna give Raheem a go on the left now, played him there and Suso on the right at home to Newcastle and trounced them 4-1, should have been more. Those two linked up very well cutting inside.

Anyone had the problem where their game won't load? I can't even get to the new game screen.

It launches and on my steam friends list it says I'm in game on FM, but nothing comes up at all and when I click FM again it says it's already running. Tried that clear cache thing and still no luck :(

Yeah i struggled for quality attacking players in the first season, so threw Suso in at the deep end, have never looked back - quality player :)

He is a beast indeed. Might sign him for Liverpool in January now. See how he does at a big club. Trying to shift on Kuyt, Bellamy and Adam but everyone is offering peanuts.

Got a problem right now, everytime I fire the game up and try to start a new game or load a saved game I get a box flash up saying it has encountered a serious error and will close and then comes up with the not responding box and closes. Any ideas how to solve?

Won the CL in 2016 with Saint-Etienne, Chelsea style. Finished 4th in the league outside the last CL qualifying place in the leadup to the final after resting all my players and losing a few late league games. Beat United 2-1 in the final, Perotti scores a last minute winner and they bid £20m for him in the Summer after sacking Mourinho.

Ter Stegen is immense in this, saved a pen in the semi as I beat Bayern 4-0 but it was 1-0 at the time and I was getting the kitchen sink thrown at me. United have lost 3 finals in a row now.

Finished my first season with Liverpool, managed 3rd in the league and an FA cup win. Applied for the GB managers job for the Olympics and have been given it :D time to win me a gold medal!

Looking for a marquee signing for my second season too, thinking about Cavani if I can get him. Or maybe Son Heung-Min for the future. Anyone got any recommendations for who works well with Suarez? He seemed to do best for me as an inside forward playing from the left last season.

Cavani is just ridiculous on this.  I bought him for Liverpool, he's a machine.

Yeah certainly is. I play him upfront solely in a 4-2-3-1 formation, scored over 50 for me this season, something stupid like 42 in the league, about 6 games to go aswell yet.

City offered me David Silva for £26.5 Million for some unknown reason in January 2013.  Bit their hand off for him.  Sold Downing for £10million, Not a bad upgrade in my opinion.

Tried Sampdoria, got promoted first season with an end tally of 100 points, Yaya Sanogo was a beast all season. Seria A is a different animal however but I am currently 7th, doing better than expected but conceding too many goals for my liking. Almost Christmas time which means a quick check on the contracts running down, Bosman signings baby!

I am like Fenway's dream.

Six seasons, lowest finish 4th place. Our highest earner formerly was Gerrard, who took a pay cut when he renewed his contract (going from 140k to 110k). He just retired and our next highest earner is on less than 100k. Our wage bill comes it at 1.3 mil per week, we have a ceiling of 2 point something. We paid 32 mil to bring in Hugo Lloris but the next highest transfer fee was less than twenty mil, and on average we get players in the seven to nine and a half bracket. Five cups in six years. Always make it to the latter ends of the various cups even when we go out.

We are a bit off the pace with the league though. Last season we finished third, eleven points behind second, but Rafa's Arsenal and Mou's Chelsea have basically turned into Real and Barca.

Just won the Europa League & Carling Cup in my 2nd season with LFC. Have sold Agger & Lucas and brought in Shawcross & Sissoko. Also signed Afellay for £1.7 million at the start and sold him for £20 million. I've just bought in Ayew for £15.75 million and Aguero for £21.5 million.

Have you tried deleting the folder at C/Documents and settings (Users if you're windows 7)/yourname/AppData/Roaming/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012?
That normally resolves most issues like that. Make sure you set hidden files/folders to viewable or the appdata folder won't appear.

That didn't work, so I uninstalled everything and deleted all saves etc and now it works so got to try and repeat my success.

What database?

I have one that goes down to level 14, or whatever it's called that far down, but it crashes on July 3rd - start of the second season - which is a shame 'cos I was enjoying getting Altherton into the first round of the FA Cup proper & promotion.

Nice :) I need to carry on with my Cardiff save at some point, won the league in the 5th season and I want to win the Champions League before I move to a different club. I've been playing Civ 5 way too much recently, FM hasn't had a look in.

Finally decided to pick up FM 2012 after my very long FM 2010 save shit itself.

Playing QPR and is it me, or is the standard of defending in this game really shit? I'm leaking way too many goals and I have a partnership of Anton Ferdinand + Vertonghen in defence  :-\. It's not the best partnership but strikers get the best of them all the time and we've conceded the most goals in the league with 15 games player now. They shouldn't be that bad...

Yeah, I had a strong defence at first too but it went to shit recently hence my post.

Think I've found the problem though. For some reason both my centre backs were set to Man marking instead of Zonal.. hrm - don't remember doing that. Seems better now though.

In 2023, we just won our first quadrouple (didn't manage to stay unbeaten though, damn Arsenal) FSG have announced that they're gonna name a new stadium after me, woo, to be ready by 2025. Hope it doesn't really take us that long.

Its taken our bank balance down from 200m to 19m quid though, so its sell to buy.
