babraham you can discuss Kenny on here, it just has to be constructive and thought through which you're clearly prepared to do. Indeed when the season has finished I'm sure they'll be a thread for you to contribute your thoughts. You won't be the only one with concerns.

As for your ideal situation mate, my best advice would be for you to give up any hope of an immediate return of Rafa, just my opinion mate but it ain't going to happen.

Cheers. I wasn't sure if it was allowed and also, I was hoping to get the views of TAW lads anyway. Even if it is allowed though, especially given the fresh wounds of Saturday, I'm not confident it would last very long - especially when Rafa is brought into the conversation! ;D It's amazing how polarizing views of him are!

Although I hope it could work out in some way, I don't have any great expectations for his immediate return. I know odds are far greater that he won't be returning shortly.
We'll be selling Henderson within 3 years and not for a profit, I guarantee it. Bookmark this post, I won't be eating my words.

Really enjoyed it again this week, although "enjoyed" might be the wrong word. Can't fault any of the criticisms that were handed out as they were warrented, and i'll be honest, i'm looking forward to the season review that i'm hoping that you'll be doing once the seasons over, even though I think it could be pretty brutal listening.

Well in lads, voted for you on both votes, hope you win, you deserve to!

The team selection was wrong. Downing ahead of Maxi and Kuyt? As expected, but wrong. Bellamy? With Gerrard so deep, Suarez was isolated. Don't think it was wrong to pick Spearing. Agree with the mentality thing, we lacked the right one for a Cup Final. Not surprising when we leave out Maxi and Kuyt.

We made three mistakes for the first goal. Agree it was a problem as soon as Spearing missed that ball. Very good things about Reina and the first post. Agree we are making the same mistakes. Agree we are not aggressive enough. I believe it's tactical. We have not selected for example Kuyt or Bellamy or Maxi and we haven't used Gerrard as second striker, so we have not set out to be aggressive and win the ball high up.

Reina's mistake, I think it's a consequence of how we coach and our overall mentality. Agree he would have been a bit further out a few years ago. Terrible to hear if/that we've had multiple GK coaches.

Agree that we have defensive problems. Second goal was IMO due to a big gap between midfield and defence. Same old problem. For a side defending in a passive way, that's quite a big concern.

Agree big time on the Fagan story about winners. We've missed that. Good points about the second "goal" and how we can use Carroll. It's not the hoof we should go for. Still not convinced by Carroll, but real credit to his performance. Still think we should build stuff around Suarez, not Carroll. But when we play Carroll, I agree that we need players who can read where the ball is going from his touches. Kuyt? Bellamy? Downing? Same thing again, same answer as with the aggressive game.

Carroll and next season - if needed, I'd sell him to get an upgrade. Why? Because we need to raise cash.

Think we've paid heavily this season to see the lad grow and develop as a player and if we sell him somebody else benefits not us. Think we should keep him next season and see if he maintains or improves his form from the last couple of months.

I think we'll raise money by getting rid of a dozen or more players who've played for the first team and even if there's no or little fee's the savings in wages will be considerable. Its decision time on lots of our young players and I'd expect some of them to be in taking squad places next year.

The podcast was a bit all over the place - Gerrard dropped deep, no he didn't it was a plan, we didn't have a plan , yes we did, no we didn't  we just make it up as we go along - I enjoyed the debate although its episode 41 and I can't remember anybody actually changing their mind - its like my daugher told me once when she read a book - its like TV only in yer head (she's 26) - its like a discussion forum only in yer ears.

TAW have submitted a team at the HJC Cup. It would be great if we could get as many teams as possible playing at the competition - the more the merrier, and the more money that goes into the HJC coffers.

Just listening to TAW on CityTalk.

Must admit, I'm not enjoying all this talk of getting rid of some of our best players to save money on wages.  Like selling Johnson because we've got Kelly.  What happens if Kelly gets injured?  It feels like an Anfield Wrap with the owners being G & H.

The lads quickly disagreed with Rory there though, I was gasping when he suggested it.
The loss of Johnson would enervate us as an attacking force - why would we want to do that.
