Is there anyone else on here who suffers like me? I sat out in the sun for a couple of hours today and have ended up getting toasted..........and no I'm bloody not ginger!

Expressions of sympathy would be welcome!

Anyone stupid enough to get burnt, deserves it.

I include myself in that. I've lost count how many times I've blistered

Unless you're stuck in a desert, I have no smpathy.

What kind of suncream does a ghost use? ;)

I spent the whole day outside yesterday and got burnt on some stupid places. Used suncream on my face, hands and neck (I was wearing long trousers), because there were lots of clouds in the sky and the sun wasn't showing very often. When it did it was fucking hot. Got burnt a little on my ears and on my chest, where the buttons of my polo-shirt were open... :D

Get some beastly tan lines after a few hours on the bike, agree with RedNich though, sunburn is for mugs.

Burnt my knees and calves on that really hot weekend 3 or 4 weeks ago (stupidly only used Factor 15 when I need far higher, didn't realise quite how hot it was) and I still have the red marks down my legs, they look like I've poured boiling water over them or something. Was fucking agony for about a week and then itched like crazy and peeled for another week. Now just looks stupid. ::)

took my daughter and her friend out for a bike ride today and must've been out for about 6 hours. didn't put sunblock on and the back of my neck is red. took a few pics and tried to put them on here before, unfortunately  the file sizes are too big and i don't know how to change them, but the difference between the burnt parts and unburnt parts is like the red and white of a sunderland shirt.  only myself to blame though. dopey sod >:(

One of the many +'s of being slightly tanned is that you don't burn easy and tan quicker!  ;) By day 4/5 of a holiday of believing this ideology, I usually end up peeling like a banana so I feel your pain.

I never get sunburn, when on holiday I don't really use suncream, and don't suffer with anything like that, the one thing I get though is an incredible itch all over my chest which no matter how many times I itch, it won't go away, quite horrendous when it is like that non stop for a couple of hours.  8)

BLISTERED!? How long do you sit out for?!

Prickly Heat = Absolute Nightmare!

I had shingles a few years ago, completely fucked my nerve ends and I get that terribly in the winter if I get hot after being cold. So I tend not to wear big jumpers (which results in people going 'why aren't you wearing a jumper?!' etc etc)

I get that. Went abroad last summer for the first time and i'd be in the sun most of the day and i wouldn't burn. However, come night time i would itch like an absolute bitch (i'm a poet and i didn't know it). Is that common? And if so what's it called?

Im a blondie but i tan real easily cos i've always worked outdoors. I've got a tan in march if the weathers any way decent. Dont understand the fascination with sitting out in the sun getting a colour. You're toasting yourself.

You really have to pile suncream on for it to really protect you. Just a thin layer isn't going to cut it. Slather that shit on!
