The Museum of Liverpool

The Museum of Liverpool opens on 19 July taking its place on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront exactly 100 years after its world renowned neighbour the Royal Liver Building. It will be Liverpool’s largest free visitor attraction and it will tell the story of Liverpool’s development to the present day.

Open daily 10am – 5pm (extended opening until 10pm, 22 – 24 July)

The Royal Liver Building

Between the 19 – 24 July the Royal Liver Building will open its doors for a unique exhibition to celebrate the centenary of this iconic building.

The free exhibition will include never previously seen before artefacts and photographs which will bring the building and its history to life; including a recreation of the celebrated Grade II* Listed Board Room, the original plans for the building and photographs dating back to its opening. Younger visitors can also earn about the Royal Liver Building in the children’s corner.

Open 11am – 6pm

The The 3D Macula Spectacular

The waterfront will come alive with a stunning visual feast of 3D architectural digital projections. A UK premier of world renowned Czech Republic company The Macula will create a new Waterfront dimension, changing the perception of seemingly ordinary objects while shattering the viewer’s perception and perspective. Everything will become an illusion.

Audiences will watch in amazement as the buildings tell the story of Liverpool using cutting edge digital projection. The effect promises to be a once in a lifetime moment for the city.

Cheers for posting that! Looking forward to the new museum opening. I only work by the cruise liner terminal so I can dump the car in our works car park and stroll over :)

Thanks, that looks fantastic. The Astronomical Clock in Prague is really small compared to the buildings on the Pier Head, would be amazing if they can use all three graces. I'll definitely be going to at least one showing of this.
