I think anyone who sets the bar for us to qualify for Europa next year is just boringly pessimistic, and completely out of touch with logic and reason. For one, even our current position of sixth would qualify for EL almost every year except this one since Birmingham won and Stoke finished runners up in cups. So to aim at what we already have right now is rather pessimistic, considering what we went through the first half of the season. I think those who say we should aim for EL next year should say we should aim for 5th, at least.
Me personally, I would like the construction on the new stadium to be begin (or Anfield redeveloped if possible), and CL next year. Additionally, one of our young players to have a breakout season, like Suso, Sterling or Morgan. That represents our most realistic and attainable dreams for next season. And if those happen, we will be the favorites to win from 2013 onwards.
