He's a class player through and through. I know our new transfer strategy involves only signing players that remain relatively injury-free, but I think because of the quality of Agger we should see how he does for at least another season. I'd love him to win the league and tattoo all the players like he said he would.

I'm sure he isn't the one to blame for that...

More of a compliment for Agger...he would have made a huge difference.  I really hope he can stay fit.

He has got more to give. He's such a good and important player, just a shame about his injuries. If only we can keep him fit, hopefully we can get more out of him next season. Would rather have him in the team then having to sell him through injuries.

His commitment, attitude and ability have never been in doubt. He's a class act in all departments.

But at this stage in our 'project' we cant afford passengers, that includes injury prone players. His injury record has been discussed to its death on here but if he's going to be here next season it has to improve. Last chance saloon for Agger if he's going to be part of the squad next year.

Hope he has one injury free season. I really want to see Skrtel and Agger get an extended run as a pairing, a very good pairing with complementary strengths.

Make Wilson an understudy to Agger and possibly buy one more young but reasonably established CB as a long term replacement for Carra(Jones is the only one who fits the bill and stands out with real potential and quality among the ones we are linked with) and we are set.

Even a 25 game a season Agger is worth keeping , provided we have adequate backup. When he plays , he is among the top 3 defenders in the league. :D

I get the feeling that if Liverpool FC got rid of him, he would go somewhere and stay fit.

like fucking torres, hasn't been injured since he pissed off (altho sitting on the bench will do that for you)

i feel the same as most, it seems, one more season to prove he can stay fit and if not, we have to look elsewhere, as much as that pains me to say

Agger fit for 3/4 of the matches and he'd be considered as one of the best CBs in the world.

I love this kid, he's got a fantastic attitude and is a very, very good football player. I hope for the sake of our team that he'll be able to play much more next season than he did so far.

Love him but we simply can't rely on him.

That is how I feel, if he is staying, and by the sounds of it he will be, we are going to need serious reinforcements at CB.
Carragher is drawing to the end although will still start, I like Martin Skrtel, I assume Kelly will be at RB for now, and the Greek though God loves a trier isn't of a high enough standard.
I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

Like others have said, deffo gotta keep him for at least one more season, he's a top defender when fit and can change the way we play from the back.
I see next season as a clean slate despite kenny being here since january. Obviously ship out the players that just dont cut it, but like maxi has done under kenny, keep those who some thought might not know there future.

we bought him injured.  He had a bad injury in his last season there.

He had a bad injury every season apart from 2008-09 where we had our best league finish....

Excellent stuff... summers of past, we've had players bleating on wanting to move away from the club. Irrespective of Aggers situation with injuries, its a nice change to hear our better players wanting to stay at the club, couple that with Reina who looks like hes decided to stay too - and it sends out a big message to everyone that the club is very focused on improving.

Fucking delighted.

Lads as committed as ever, all credit to him.

Just hoping this will be the season for him where he finally shrugs them off in typical Dagger fashion. So much quality in him as well, and the fact that he's still statistically second best to the Serbian Sissy over the last 5 years is a testament to that quality. No doubt he'd be one of the best in Europe for sure (as in unquestionable by the mongs) if he can just get rid of them. But these injuries have followed him round like Injunctions to cuntish footballers so I'm not holding my breath like in past years.

Just got to hope for the best at the end of the day for Danny.

Great player, I believe the comparison of points per game with Agger playing and Agger not playing speaks for itself.

However, we know by now we can never rely on him to be a first teamer, and we need to buy 1/2 top quality CBs.

"I know I say this every time, but I have really done everything this time to make every single muscle in my body stronger and I have done everything in the right way.

Interesting that he says he's done everything he could 'this time', there are indications that this has not always been the case. Think he knows that it is last chance saloon time, think he's maybe a bit lucky that others will likely be unlikely to take a chance on his price & fitness, maybe Liverpool are the lucky ones. Think that the club are unlikely to let him go for a song unless it is as part of a deal that Kenny sees as central to his plans.

As good a footballer as he is, he simply does not play enough football to be part of a settled central defensive partneship and feel that has always been his biggest weakness.

He's not "injury prone". Aurelio is "injury prone".

Agger can be called "reckless", he can be called "unlucky". It's not as if he gets injured whilst sprinting across the pitch. It's not as if he ruptures his Achilles's tendon whilst attempting to control, under no pressure, a ball in left midfield. It's not as if he gets his knee injured whilst playing with his kid in the back yard.

He gets stuck in. Opposition forwards batter him. That's how he gets injured.

He is available to play in about only 50 per cent of the games in a season, may be even less. So, in short, he is injury prone/injured much time etc.

Semantics. And either way, the most innocuous knock to Agger ends up ruling him out for months at a time. If that ain't injury-prone, I don't know what is

I would prefer we kept him and enjoyed whatever games he can give us. Still relatively young and has the right attitude as we witnessed when he called out Torres for a lack of respect for the shirt. He is quality, perhaps a bit injury prone but I would like to think equally unlucky with injuries too.

In an ideal world he stays fit and becomes the class act he is. Personally would like to keep him and also buy 1 more class act so at worse we have Agger as back up, maybe doing a McGrath playing once a week slowly getting him back to fitness. That is what the heart wants but if the head received an offer of 10m plus tomorrow morning he probably would be sold.
