Kinda random but one thing I will give Kenny credit for is managing Aggers fitness, he even mentions it when asked about working wih Kenny.  We finally had him fit for the majority of the season rather then seeming to always be returning from little knocks from not resting enough.  Hopefully next season he is rested in early round cup games.

It helped that we had no Champs League so Agger could play once a week rather than every three days.

Still missed quite a large chunk do to broken ribs didn't he? At least twice I thought he was out.

Exactly mate. People are often on the bench because they are not fit enough to start.

Yes and perfectly fit players are often rested.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

No, they wouldn't. Kjaer is having some good games now, but he's a huge liability.
I remember a lot of people raving on with exactly that about Martin Skrtel.

Don't think a centre-half is necessary; Coates potentially an ideal replacement for Agger, Kelly potentially ideal replacement for Skrtel in the long term. Would like to see this partnership given an airing when defending the Carling Cup this season.

But not me;)

I've seen pretty much every game of Simon Kjaer in the last 3 years, nothing in there has convinced me that he would be anything more than average. We don't need average.

I feel sorry for the likes of Agger and Gerrard, 2 years with no Champions League football. Having said that part of that has been made hard because these 2 have been quite injury prone, and we need them next season fit ALL season if we're to get back into the top 4.

If - and AFAIAC, it's a big 'if' - we do lose Skrtel for a massive fee, then I can think of a lot worse CB's to pair Agger up with.

Kjær clearly has quality and playing alongside Agger every week as opposed to every couple of months, can only help him reach that potential.

That said, I'm a massive fan of Seb Coates. World class in the making.

Diego Godin, Jan Vertonghen are there mate. Maybe there are some more players who are at their peak and available for lesser fee.

Kjaer would cost next to nothing. His recent years at Wolfsburg and at Roma have been horrible and he only cost Roma €3m. And he's gotten worse since. Maybe the Euros raise his value slightly, but not too much. Still, really hope we avoid that.

Mate definitely speaking, getting a player without quality to perform at a big club just because he costs less is utterly ridiculous.

I honestly don't know what you're trying to say. I don't want Kjaer because he wouldn't be an improvement to either of our CBs and would just cost money, albeit not too much.

If Rodgers could make Ashley Williams look like a cultured CB on the ball, then I'd imagine he must be close to jerking off with excitement at the prospect of working with one of the world's most gifted ball-playing defenders.

Agger's played fantastically well this tournament - his reading of the game is spectacular at times, and the runs out of defence with the ball are world class. Danny Agger, Libpool's number 5..

Oh, and he's a player who told the Owl to get fucked when he tried to make him play hoofball to Torres. When the likes of Benayoun, Riera, Torres and dare I say it, even Kuyt were looking to leave us as rumours of our potential fall into administration started growing stronger, Agger came out with this memorable quote, " I'm no rat leaving a sinking ship". That alone warrants my eternal worship for this Danish footballing god. He'd have been our version of Beckenbauer had he played for us in the 80's, and I'm being deadly serious here.
