Nah, villatalk is hilarious at the minute, ranging from outright denial of the image, conclusive evidence its a fake, conclusive evidence its real, hatred of Liverpool, Hatred of Downing and one lone voice of reason pointing out that Villa are a selling club.

I think the photo is genuine in so far as its downing and carroll posing with a scarf or banner of some sort. The thing that looks a bit dubious to me is the scarf itself. The lighting at the end where the woman and downing are holding it doesn't seem quite right. There's lots of light shining on them from the top right corner and you can see it clearly on their fingers but none of that light is shining on the scarf itself. It could just be the angle they are holding that end of the scarf but I would've thought there would be more light and shadow contrast on scarf given the intensity of the light IMO.

There is a hand with four fingers (Downing's), then more fingers above it. It's not the woman's hand because that's holding the top of the scarf above Downing's shoulder. It's not Carroll's because his hand is on the woman's shoulder. So whose fingers are they?
Think about it realistically, what Photoshop wiz would intentionally create a photograph of Andy Carroll AND Stewart Downing? Stewart Downing for crying out loud. Villa's PR team have been working overtime the past few weeks. They probably all know he's off and this is simply damage limitation. And if he isn't in our plans then surely Downing would told his bosses he was drunk at the time and Villa probably would have fined him by now. I wouldn't be surprised if they (Villa) are linked with all sorts in the next few days to appease their fanbase.
