He's improved a shitload despite every insult in the book thrown at him, never bitches or moans despite abuse and nearly being shipped to Stoke by old management, never pussies out of a challenge, never injured, seems to make an effort to make new teammates feel welcome with open arms, and best of all a great season for him.

What a season this lad has had. Proved himself for us as one of our best players and a key player and he has forced himself into the Brazil setup alongside some truly world class players. He must be delighted how this season has gone, yet it won't change him as he seems as humble as ever. If he can add a few goals to his game (it's not completely needed but these days people look at midfielders with there goal tally in mind) then he can establish himself internationally as one of the elite in his position.

Well deserved and the perfect example of "professional! footballer.

Never bitched and never moaned just took the abuse from the knob heads and just got on with his job.

All he needs now is a few more goals going forward next year cause he also has a great shot in his locker...

Great example for the younger red players coming up through the ranks do your talking on the pitch....

So here's to increasing the ranks and giving him some quality wingers and some other positions to pass back and fore too.

Come on then Comolli lets get cracking and get the targets sorted nice and early so we can move into pre-season matches...

Fantastic achievement for Lucas and thoroughly deserved. Without wishing to take any shine off it the margin of victory so to speak pretty much sums up our season. Hopefully at the end of next season the result won't be so much of a landslide; we need at least 11 players seriously challenging for our votes and not 3 or 4.

I've asked this question before but no one has come up with one - has a player at a player at a major club ever been so completely rubbished by their own fans and gone on to be voted player of the season in a couple of years?
It's an unbelievable achievement and testament to his character.

If we had 11 of his type we'd be almost unbeatable - maybe we should be singing we all dream of a team of Lucas Leviassss - doesn't scan but does ring true!

Y'know, as someone who has supported Lucas from day one, even during the dark times, I cannot express how made up for him I am that he has won this award. He's now won 3 fan based votes, from the same fans who regularly slated him, some of which even booed him.

I'm proud he plays for our team, and hope he is soon part of an LFC team that wins trophies!

What a player he's turned out to be this season, some of his performances have been immense (vs chelsea one of the main ones where he completely ran the show)
