That's true. Atletico's chairman lies all the time ;D

Yeah really.  If he does go to Real, I'd expect Atletico to force them to pay the taxes and such too, if only to make it seem like they didn't actually want him to go there.  Who knows what he'll do this summer though.

I bet Aguero will be moving this summer. To us or not to us,that is the question.

Wow, already naming your self Aguero 10, that's a bit confident.

Maybe we could create our own Cup like Everton and call it the CL Cup, just to make him happy?

to be honest we shouldn't even be considering it! His wages are MASSIVE and whilst he's a great player he ain't Messi and we aren't Man City! Paying players that kind of money would bankrupt us quicker than you could say epic swindle.

There's PLENTY of other forwards around for the kind of transfer fee you'd have to pay that would have just as much influence on the pitch(assists & goals) who would be happy to be on half of what Aguero gets.

Atlético are probably willing sellers to be honest.

Aguero's stock is at an all time high, huge transfer fee's are exchanging hands all across europe, Aguero takes up a huge chunk of their wage bill, he wants out (allegedly).

With the money they'd recieve from his transfer they could easily buy 2-3 top class players and pay them all with the money they'd save on his wages.

With the money they'll be getting in from Aguero, Forlan and possibly De Gea they could completely revamp their squad.

You never know what money can do.

Showing ambition will go a long way to convincing players to believe in the project. It's about getting the first signing in, making the first one a good one. It'll convince others that we'll do what it takes to go places.

We might have to do what City did to a certain extent, but difference is, as we're a bigger name, we shouldn't get held to ransom for wages in the same way.

I think it's clear Aguero is on his way, but I still feel we are behind the others due to the lack of CL footie.  It's great if we are bidding for such players (shows ambition), but I can't see us beating off some of the top european clubs.

This wanting champions league footie is sometimes  a bit i dunno..

i mean half these players if not all say they want champions league footie but half the time they just end up getting dumped out..
only one team can with it
yeah i understand you have to be in it to have a chance but im sure next season we will be in the top 4..surely these young players can wait one year for champions league..they should also know that if they win the title with us they will go down as legends for this club
seeing that we havent won it for so long

well juventus seemsw to be where he is going and they arent in CL next year, really dissappointed if he went there, and we just let him , i mean if its down to us or juve surely he would choose us as if he went there it shows CL isnt important to him and neithe ris money as they sure as hell cant afford 200k a week, hell how the feck can they afford his fee considering the bitch about aqua fee

wow a sensible post for once from you!

I don't think CL plays that big of a factor when it's joining teams like Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus etc.. knowing that you are going to play for a great club is normally quite enticing for a lot of young players. Aguero of course is still young, let's hope Maxi has been whispering in his ear especially about that amazing fucking Maxi song :D

Think that would probably be more Forlan's replacement than Aguero's. The fans would demand somebody big if Kun was to leave.

Juventus really seem desperate to sign him though, if he leaves Atletico then I think it's between them and Real.

The issue is if he went to Juventus, are they ever going to compete at a top level again, i think everyone feels that Liverpool can, but Juventus arent in the CL next year either and havent been competing for the league in a while and dont look like they will anytime soon, would just be a really strange move, if we lose him to Chelsea, madrid or even city I would understand, but if he went to Juventus I would be like, what the fu......

Please.. We're a season away from Champions league football. He's 22, I'm sure he'd cope.

And players don't just want 'Champions league football', they want to win the fucking thing. I'd say we'd have better pulling power than Arsenal, given our history in the competition.

I'm pretty sure he's not coming here, but there's even less chance of him going to Juventus.

With the new stadium they're building, they're flat broke.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

I really don't like the idea of paying his wages. Wouldn't he be on 60 grand a week more than Gerrard? Imo that sets a bad precedent where you'll get new signings and the likes of Suarez asking for similar money.

Why don't we just let FSG worry about what to pay him? Fans worry far too much about transfer fees and wages sometimes.
