What would he get for a testimonial? A million? maybe two...three tops. It costs a sh*t load more than that to build a hotel. It's a business deal where he'll get to cash in without putting in any of his own money. Smart and greedy, but don't dress it up as anything charitable.

There's a fine tradition of already rich football players giving all their testimonial money to charity, Ratboy has put a spin on it where he looks like he's doing something 'for the fans'. When in truth it's going to make him very rich. Horrible, rodent, sh*thouse!

Now, if you were going to give all the money you make from it to charity Gary??? Nah, didn't think so.

First match my dad ever took me to was the Mancs Vs Everton. I've supported Liverpool ever since.

Just googled tickets costs for his testimonial. Ticket prices for this game are:

Adults          £20 - £30 *
Over-65s     £15
Under-16s   £10

So, say an average of 20quid a ticket x 75,000 = 1.5million approx.  Can't be much of a hotel?

We're talking gary neville here..

His own figures estimated 150 million quid in revenues

Er I'm pretty sure all this means is that Gary Neville , and probably some partner, is going to build a pub for Man U fans and they will be charged money for beer.

Why in the name of christ  Man U  have commented on it a potentially exciting project is beyond me.

I'ts his money he can do what he want's with it, but unless it's going to be a free pub, this news is about as interesting as hearing about Lampards future plans to own a construction company.

It's Neville's fantasy - Use the fans money to build a pub where he can be the centre of attention leading his inbred mates in singing "Build a bonfire" and other assorted ditties while pocketing the profits.

Lots of assumptions being made about the reasons behind it. Nobody knows if he'll be making a personal profit or not.
Errr.. you can have a semi sensible guess and see that he will be surely?

Just to shake up the general opinion of "meh"...

He's using his testimonial money to set up a hotel which he is likely to earn profit from instead of giving the money to charity like most multi-millionaire footballers do with their testimonial money???

Discuss.

agreed

if you used the money to buy season tickets for the longest serving supporters club members id be a bit more impressed

Lots of assumptions being made about the reasons behind it. Nobody knows if he'll be making a personal profit or not.

Credit to him if this idea gets past the local planners and all the profits generated go to local charities etc via a trust. Can you imagine the joy on the supporters' little awe-struck non-Mancunian faces when they step into a Gary Neville themed bar and hotel and find a natural home away from home where they can sit quietly and stare in amazement at the legacy of a couple of hundred years of inbreeding, and buy things without any of it going to enrich a shitehawk who is taking them for a ride? Seems a shame he didn't mention that part when announcing it rather than making it look like he's a money grubbing manc twat who's trying to pass off a personally enriching business venture as somehow being a gift to the Manchester United fans who paid his wages for so long. Modesty thy name is Gary Neville. And doesn't he have much to be modest about?

Neville just anounced that he'll be applying for a live music licence, and that he'll personally be showing off his prowess with the banjo to entertain the masses of window lickers his venture seeks to reward for their loyalty.

The other plus being a new target to launch projectiles at when we're there. The Lou Macari chippy will be pleased with this news.

His testimonial against Juventus - United fans might just go one game without singing about Heysel.

The hotel will be a tourist attraction - Don't see why all this "good on him" is being spouted about.

Carragher has a restaurant but doesn't pretend it's anything other than a profit driven business.

If G Neville offers discounted rates to members (like you might get in a working mans club or one of the Irish clubs) then fine. If he makes out like it's for the fans and fleeces them, then he's a c*nt.

We arranged civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology We also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology This is a recipe for disaster We might get away with it for a while but sooner or later this combustible mix of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces CSgn
