What would he get for a testimonial? A million? maybe two...three tops. It costs a sh*t load more than that to build a hotel. It's a business deal where he'll get to cash in without putting in any of his own money. Smart and greedy, but don't dress it up as anything charitable.

There's a fine tradition of already rich football players giving all their testimonial money to charity, Ratboy has put a spin on it where he looks like he's doing something 'for the fans'. When in truth it's going to make him very rich. Horrible, rodent, sh*thouse!

Now, if you were going to give all the money you make from it to charity Gary??? Nah, didn't think so.

Just googled tickets costs for his testimonial. Ticket prices for this game are:

Adults £20 - £30 *
Over-65s £15
Under-16s £10

So, say an average of 20quid a ticket x 75,000 = 1.5million approx. Can't be much of a hotel?

Er I'm pretty sure all this means is that Gary Neville , and probably some partner, is going to build a pub for Man U fans and they will be charged money for beer.

Why in the name of christ Man U have commented on it a potentially exciting project is beyond me.

I'ts his money he can do what he want's with it, but unless it's going to be a free pub, this news is about as interesting as hearing about Lampards future plans to own a construction company.

Credit to him if this idea gets past the local planners and all the profits generated go to local charities etc via a trust. It's annoying because on one hand there's great posters like you here who seem open to people like me coming here for banter, but then there's some people who genuinely don't seem to like MUFC or their fans at all.
