Am I right in thinking that if we win tomorrow we'll be on level points but the spuds will have a game in hand?

In our hands though.
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

Incredible that we're even in this position considering the season we've had, We're in touching distance of 4th.... & If there were a couple more games I'd honestly fancy us to take it! Can only hope & pray that City & Spurs absolutely implode but stranger things have happened!

Let's just twat these bastards. I fuckin hate Geordies. Used to like them as a kid when Keegan was there. But then I started working with them, the most argumentative deluded bastards I have ever met. Was made up when they went down, especially after the last 2 times they where here and there fans started singing "fuck the ball, get into them", when we we battering them. Classless bunch of pricks, them and Joey Barton deserve each other.

If we win tomorrow we wont just be level on points right but won't we also be 5th? I'm sure we have a better goal difference which will only be better if we beat Newcastle tomorrow.

The players will be hungry for the win after today's result, and being at Anfield, I'd say we have a huge change.

We'll see.

On paper we should be up for this but this is one of those typical scenarios where we have kicked ourselves in the past for failing to capitalise.

This is a massive mental battle as much as anything else.  We need to want it more than Newcastle without moving into the realms of derperation.

Just done the BBC predictor and had us finishing fifth – level with City on points but with a slightly inferior goal difference. I was perhaps a little biased and had us winning all our games. Interestingly I had City losing to Everton away and drawing with both Spurs and Stoke – who incidentally have come into great form recently.

It just emphasises the fact that if we are to miraculously push into that 4th spot, then goal difference may prove vital. Tomorrow’s game might just be an opportunity to try and further bolster our goal difference that at the end of the season might prove decisive.

Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool.

Back in Liverpool and absolutely made up at the fact that Spurs are going to bits. It is now in our hands, we win tomorrow and we beat them and 5th will be ours.
When we go there I hope we defile their goal. I want us to deflower it like it was their little sister being betrothed to an old fat nobleman executing his right of prima nocta like in the Medieval times.

i wish they would  implode but the reality is they had a massive result in beatin utd in the cup and then they go and pip blackburn who gave it a good go. so really they wont drop enough points for us to beat them to 4th coz from wot i saw at blackburn theyve learnt how to grind out results wen needed. the BASTARDS!

I obviously need to be a bit more positive haha the highest I could get us was 6th! Although I do think we'll drop points at Fulham....

Too much hype on here. Tomorrow's game won't be easy. Beating Fulham away will be difficult. Beating Spurs will be even more difficult if they ay as organized as today. But the best thing is that our destiny is in our own hands for the first time since the begining of the season. Our season is just beginning starting tomorrow. I have the feeling that we could afford to draw with Spurs and still get the EL place, but let's see how tomorrow pans out first.

Though I'm no Scouser I was in Liverpool last Christmas and enjoyed watching football in the pub near Liner Hotel, just about 100 metres from Lime Street Station.

I would think Suarez is due a goal. Nonetheless, he's a footballer of absolute class and it's surely only a matter of time before he bags a few more. As for the result, the lads will have been given a boost by the Spuds dropping points earlier today. 3-0 - Suarez (2) and Kuyt.

I know we think this is 3 points in the bag but Newcastle's midfield is no walkover. That Chek Tiote is quite underated. Then that scumbag Barton and Nolan in the mix and Spearing and Lucas will have their work cut out.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Obviously there are no easy games at this level, but if we don't win, I'll be hugely disappointed.

In trying to dampen the over-confidence on here, some seem like they are trying to lower expectations in a way which would make Uncle Roy proud

I don't see a draw, I think we'll win but I think it'll be relatively close, maybe 2-1. Unless they have an absolute shocker I can't see us putting 4/5 past them. They're a pretty organised side & if they decide to park the bus it could be a difficult afternoon.

2-0 victory I reckon. Suarez is definitely due a goal or two. Kuyt will probably bag one though.

A lot of ppl here are thinking this game will be a walk in the park... Newcastle have a solid midfield and it'll be difficult penetrating. Hopefully Enrique plays decent, I still have a feeling he'll be our starting LB next season, the lad has quality and pace. The lads know what is at stake and KK will prepare the troops for battle here. Would love to see Carroll fit but it's unlikely; imagine he scored tomorrow, those Geordie fucks would shit themselves.

If we get the first goal tomorrow, Newcastle will probably colapse like they have done so many times, and we'll end up winning by a few goals.

4-0, I reckon.
