Best and Worst Transfers 2010/11 Season
« on: April 21, 2011, 05:28:12 PM »
Best

Suarez
Meireles
Hernandez
Bent
Odemwingie
David Luiz
Van Der Vaart

Worst

Torres
Dzeko
Bebe
Stephen Ireland
Koncheskey
Joe Cole
Poulsen

We had so many awful transfers under Hodgson with Raul his saving grace.  Don't turn this into a Torres discussion for his transfer he hasn't lived up to his reputation. As for Carroll, he looks good so far but after just 5 or 6 games and 2 goals I don't want to put him in best just yet, but its looking good.

Stephen Ireland what on earth happened to him does he even play anymore? Use to be one of the most consistent players in the league under hughes at city.

Squillaci worst?

Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

Best: Odemwingie, Tiote, Demba Ba, Meireles, Suarez, Luiz, Silva, Hernandez, VDV, Ben Arfa (until he got injured) and Sturridge*

Worst: Milner, Torres, Kolarov, Bebe, Hodgson's amigos.

* Even though it's technically not a transfer Sturridge has done fucking brilliantly for Bolton.

This. Boateng hasn't played much so he could be considered for worst although much of that is due to injuries.

Outside of the PL, Shinji Kagawa and Edinson Cavani pretty much stand out as far as best transfers IMO. Honorable mention for Ibra though, he's played a big part in Milan's success.

Koncheskey should not be in the worst list, made a few errors but I would be tempted to pick him over Vermalen if we don't buy any new cb's in the summer. Squallici on the other hand, always seems a yard too slow in body and in reading the game. Pires also a good shout.

Bentley and Hleb for Birmingham for worst lists?

He's a terrible left back. I'd say he's probably a worse centre back.

I'd put Benayoun in the worst, given he's played about 5 games for them because of injury.
You have posted literally nothing of substance to flame about.  Your "points", and I dread to call them that, were superficial and completely arbitrary.  Nothing you said could be argued against because nothing you said elaborated a position of any kind.

Guess I've not seen enough of him this season—to be fair I've only seen City play maybe fifteen or so times this season, but he's always impressed me when I have seen them.

That being said they did pay an awful lot for him.
