Apologies if this isn't the right place to start this thread.

Anyway, got 2 tickets for the EL final in Dublin. Don't really want them anymore. I've got a mate who might be interested, but he reckons that they will be checking ID as you go in and that he won't be able to get in cos the names are linked to the tickets.

Does anyone know what kind of checks they will do? Is it alright to pass then on?

Alternatively, if anyone else is interested in these tickets (should my mate not want them) then please PM me. Face value of course. Think they're £120 for the pair.

Didn't check my id in Athens ... good job as my name was suppose to be Lydia !

Didn't check last year in Hamburg.
But I'm interested... I'm going to Dublin anyway.

Didnt check my details at Athens or at any of the numerous World Cup/Euro championships; they just wont have enough staff/time to check tickets so you will be fine.

Got 2 tickets together for the Europa League final 2011 in Dublin, Cat 4, Block 504, Row R, Seats 11 and 12.

Cost price £115 for both of them and can meet in Liverpool from Saturday.

Going back to the OP, I've bought some tickets from eBay, and was looking at UEFA's terms and conditions and it says tickets can't change hands and that they may do ID checks. Am I just worrying, would this happen at all?

Never going to happen, every final we hear the same old shit. Don't worry mate, you left your passport and cards in the hotel, are they going to send you back for it? Won't be a problem.
