Tory Bastards
« on: March 26, 2011, 10:40:33 AM »
I don't get it. I really don't. If you have kids. If you have parents. If you live in a society. How can you vote in a party that actively does everything in their power to destroy society. That actively does everything they can to destroy kids. That actively does everything they can to destroy older people? They are about money from start to finish. They care nothing for anyone outside their direct family group. They are about cuts and taking money from where it is needed. They are about destroying people lives pure and simple. And you get people voting for them?

I have met Tories in my time and uniformley they are slimy, disgusting horrible people. They are selfish wankers and shithouses all. That's why I hate the South so much - that's their entire mentality - ME ME ME ME ME!!! MEEE!!! MEEEE!!!

Bastards. Fucking hate them. Despicable selfish c*nts.

Ha ha.  Bad hangover?  This could prob be added to the coalition thread.

Anyway, fact is the vast majority didn't vote for em.  They're in by default, due to the power ambition of Clegg and his cohorts.

I'm not a selfish bastard no. I don't have kids but I am very happy for my money to be used to finance schools and education for the good of people and for the good of my country. I am happy for my money to be put into the National Health Service. I am happy for my money to be used to help people and help society. I am happy for my money to be used to police our society and move our society forward.

'Usually religious' What is that supposed to mean? Plenty of people that I know that are 'Religious' would never, ever, ever vote Tory.

The one plus point is that they won't be in power again for a long, long, long time when they inevitably lose at the next election.

The problem wasn't people voting tory.

The problem was people not using their vote at all.  Loads of people I spoke to at the time of voting said they werent even bothering to vote, but then in the same breath saying they hope conservatives dont get into power.

Well fucking vote then!!!

Personally I dont know much about politics but I still used my vote to try to help avoid consertavites taking over.

Well said.  There are 25-35% of voters in this country who don't vote at general elections.  That could make a mammoth difference.

Religous belief should be at the complete opposition of liberal thinking. I mean have you read the bible? Leviticus - the pillar or forgiveness and liberal thinking

They don't vote because they realise Labour and Conservative and just as sh*t as each other. Red or Blue policies are pretty much the same

Well that comment is bollocks isn't it.  There are other parties to vote for.

People dont waste their vote because Labour and Conservative are as shit as each other.  They do it because they can't be arsed and they dont think it makes a difference

I have actually met some alright Tories to be honest.

Even William Hague was kind of alright in person. The thing is they're so far removed from the poverty line they genuinely don't understand what it's like (the politicians, that is. Voters have less of an excuse!)

On the other hand, my missus met Michael Howard and said he was a total slimy berk, and Cameron is obviously a complete waste of oxygen.

What a wonderful reason to not vote.  There are other parties out there and while some of them are extremist in nature, only by actively involving yourself in politics can you change the parties into what you want them to be.

I have no objections to that statement whatsoever - the reality is, at the moment we are a two party society

Just to be clear, I did vote.

Quite a funny comment considering Blair used religion as part of his decision making process towards Iraq. His 'we know they've got WMD's, despite the fact we haven't found them' ideas could also be considered narrow minded, no? :o

I have met Tories in my time and uniformley they are slimy, disgusting horrible people. They are selfish wankers and shithouses all. That's why I hate the South so much - that's their entire mentality

Bit of a generalisation there and a complete load of bollocks - I've met some very selfish people from up north and some very generous people from down south.

Just remember down south is a very big area and includes places as diverse as Cornwall and London.

I think Labour is as bad. They're all c*nts and largely the same. Sure the rhetoric will be left/right leaning (but staunchly anchored in the middle ground) but they end up doing the same things when they get into power.

The Tories are in power now, yes. But if Labour were, there'd still be massive fiscal tightening- it's the economic reality of the situation.

"Ah but the twat bankers! Labour would make them pay!" Would the fuck. The City of London is important to the country's economy. Until that structurally changes (which should happen), anyone running the country would be idiotic to force them to go elsewhere.

The country's in a mess, but it's naive to think it's because of the Tories.

I voted Labour by the way, but it was a token vote. I was indifferent to voting Conservative or Labour (Lib Dems crossed my mind to some extent, but then I didn't think they'd have a chance to weasel their way into the government and do fuck all as they're doing now). I didn't think hard about trying to distinguish between them because I didn't (and don't) believe there's a lot to distinguish between.

I suppose I see politics in a similar light to how I see religion. There's something there of worth, but it's been dumped with so much bullshit over time, for whatever reason, I don't see a point in getting involved to any great extent. Not financially, actively and certainly not emotionally. Objectively, yes. And objectively speaking, as I said, I don't think there'd be much of a difference in the actions of whoever was in charge; Labour or Tory.

Can't which game it was, but just before the election and everyone in 305/6 was singing Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Die, Die, Die.

Then someone lanched into 'Don't believe Cameron's lies, he's just Maggie in diguise.' ... went on for a while. Everything he said was spot on.  :wellin

You could argue that the same is true of religion and parties on the right - death of society and only the strongest survive is totally anathema to the new testament mantra of loving your neighbour.
Brian Reade - "Rafa Benitez was many things at Liverpool but unlike every manager since Kenny Dalglish, he was not a failure. Indeed a majority of Liverpudlians will remember him as a legend. Because like Bill Shankly, on more days and nights than those expert pundits ever care to recall, he made the people happy".
