Yep I have to agree with you mate, but I fear that if FSG dont give it to the King there may well be a huge backlash for them and this could cause problems.
What if they love Kenny but they want to go another way ? But then feel that they dont want said backlash and out of this fear keep Kenny on ?
What if they are ruthless and say to Kenny 'Look thanks for helping us out but we want to go another way' ? Kenny wont hold grudges but this place for a start would go into meltdown as will a lot of fans over it.
Where do we draw the line and do we trust FSG enough to make a decent decision if we dont agree with it ?
They are in a corner really, and I worry about that.
I see what your saying, and it's waht many have feared since before Kenny was appointed, but in answer to your questions:What if they love Kenny but they want to go another way ? But then feel that they dont want said backlash and out of this fear keep Kenny on ?
FSG are ruthless and they are smart business men who will have considered this when they appointed KK in the first place, they would expect a backlash, but I think they would also expect KK to be the humble man that we (and they) know he is and accept that someone else can do a better job, which would go a long way to calming the majority down. What if they are ruthless and say to Kenny 'Look thanks for helping us out but we want to go another way' ?
Same as what I said to your first question really, FSG and KK would have a big talk about it and they would expect a backlash, but I think that if KK came out and said that he left on mutual terms and knows that FSG have got the right man in mind, then a lot would feel safe in the knowledge tha we have a perfect candidate coming in to bring stability and success.Where do we draw the line and do we trust FSG enough to make a decent decision if we dont agree with it ?
FSG are still learning the ropes in the football world, they have never owned a football club in the past and since this is their first outing, they won't do anything to compromise their investment, they also don't seem like the type of owners that will want to upset the fans, they have listened since day one and have always had the clubs interests at the top of their list.
The Red Sox are sorted now, they only have to get the cheque book out in the baseball transfer windows (if that's how it works, I'm not sure) the rest they can leave as they have a winning formula there, over here however, we are starting to get stability, success and a sense of optimism, so with a re-developed Anfield/New Stadium on the way and fresh invesment in the summer, they will know that it will appease the masses and KK at the helm will help keep the fans off their backs, atleast until they learn the trade.
I think that we need to trus FSG 100% on this one, they will know what the backlash would be like as they have seen how much KK is thought of among the supporters, so I doubt they'll do anyhing to ruin the fresh bond that they are still building with us.
