Hahahahaha the general consensus amongst English folk is that Chelsea/United are in the final already. Ignorance is bliss. Has anyone seen the c*nts playing lately? Love how they are going to just swat Inter/Schalke to one side...

about time the mancs got a tough game to play.
I suppose playing the second leg away is too much to ask. When is the last time those wankers played the second leg away?

Worth quoting that. Spurs will be buzzing and will fancy their chances at home in the second leg. Madrid have got plenty of quality but are not the greatest defensive unit.

They've only conceded 20 goals this season and 5 of them were in one game. They are very sound defensively.

neither chelsea or united will beat inter in the semi. Im going for a barca - inter final.

I would love it if torres scores the winner vs united . he might be a twat, but for that game, i can love him again.

I think Shakhtar have a good chance. They play very aggressive and could be able to interrupt Barcas build up play with their engagement. I smell a sensation right there.

Inter should get past Schalke, but it won't be easy. Rangnick is a top coach and he'll do everything he can to get through and Inter will be missing Lucio in the first of two games, which makes their defense even worse.

Real to beat Tottenham, no way Redknapp will beat Mourinho over two legs. Just impossible.

And last but not least: United - Chelsea. Fantastic pairing, Chelsea to get through.

Sure they played Arsenal second leg away a few years back, when they won it wasn't it?

Barca will surely look to win the tie in the 1st leg.

Going to Shaktar is a nightmare for most teams (I say most because Barca are on a whole other level).

Theyve also had a few struggles travelling to eastern Europe to Rubin especially in recent times havent they?

I'd love Inter to get to the final from that half I really would. I know they knocked Chelsea out last year but their recortd against English clubs has been poor in recent years and for whatever reason I can see United beating them. I don't know how, it's not logical but could just see one of those nights when their pace is too much and someone obscure and usually shite has a blinder. Come on Chelsea, knock them out (and pick up plenty of suspensions along the way).

Barca will be hitting their second peak by the time they face Shaktar.

I'll be suprised if they don't win over the two legs, but Shaktar are very dangerous.

Unfortunately not.

Inter or Schalke is a bye to the final for the winner of the all-English tie.

Of course it isn't. I had Inter out when they were 3-1 down on aggregate vs Bayern but they showed quality, grit and determination to win 3-2 away. United are ordinary and Chelsea are way off form. If anything Schalke is probably the easiest draw for any team to get to the semi-finals and on current form and quality the Chelsea vs United is a bye to the final for Inter who are still a very good team.

I think it will be Barcelona vs Mancs in the final.

As shite as the Mancs are, they are now a counterattacking team and counterattacking teams fare well in the Champions League.

Didn't know that. From what I've seen of them in the CL, though, I'm not sure they have the discipline to really defend as a team and grind a win out. I hope I'm wrong mind.

They all look like tricky ties that can go either way, barca 2nd leg in Ukraine has bannana skin all over it if they don't kill it off in the first leg, utd and chelsea hard to call, inter always look beatable yet have quality - im more confident of them progressing than anyone else

the most interesting tie for me is spurs v real - if spurs keep it tight over there and nick a goal i can see them doing real at home, if it's a slugfest of who can score the most goals over two legs i'd expect real to go thru. gotta feeling it's gonna come down to away goals in this one

If i had to call what i think the final will be i'd go for barca v inter - seems a bit ambitious to expect inter to be there but this team do have a way of winning in europe even with their backs up against it

You think they're just going to stroll past them? Great attacking talent but if they're not on their game they'll have to defend better imo as Spurs will cause them problems. Jose's strength has always been his defensive organisation but I'm not sure he's got the right players for that at the moment, and Madrid being Madrid he'll be expected to play with a lot more freedom.

Gotta be honest, that was my first thought, if you ran a probability scenario of the likelihood of the continual meetings of eng v eng over the last 5 years in the CL i'd be very surprised if the draws came out lookin fair

then again i'm not a fan of conspiracy theories

i think it's that blatant none are needed  :D
