Keep our heads. Do our stuff. Get a referee that won't fall for their diving and we stand a decent chance.
Football has reached the ninth gate of farce and pathetic, unbelievable trite nonsense. It's supposed to be a game and it's turned into pantomime, hype, quilts and bellends.

Seriously concerned that we will create anything, and then resort to Carra -----> Carroll.

Would prefer Spearing not to play really, same with Cole.

I'm a teacher, and love it, but would give it up for the people I love. Would even miss one of my Sunday morning match for them. Lucas is right.

But back to the game. My worry is Carroll will go looking for revenge for that elbow, what with him being an absolute f*ckin physco and all...
Not talking about love mate(I love my family more than my job)- it's about our expected responsibilities- from- and toward- society, our relations, our peers, our gender.

Anyway, we differ and I accept and respect your opinion, so onto football... ;)

Based on Andy's history, he's not averse to something like that, however, I hope Kenny's got him on the straight and narrow a bit. He caused quite a stir when he played last time out and we were on the up- I can see the same confidence tonight- and even more since we're at home- when his on the pitch.

Does anybody know if tonight's game will be on the radio? I have to work tonight and don't want to miss the game. I don't hold out much hope because none of the other Europa games have been on the radio but if anybody knows anything that would be ace.

Surely Radio City will have it? If not on 96.7, then theyve got Radio City extra/sport havent they?

Nice one. It's weird none of the other games have been on as I've worked the majority of our Euro games this season but thanks for the heads up. Here's to a 3-0 twatting.

Cant wait for this, hope Anfield is packed and there's a good atmosphere. If we aint ahead after 20 minutes I know there's gonna be a lot of knobheads getting on the players backs. DONT. Support them, this wont be easy.

All pull together as one and all give our all though, be it players or supporters, and it'll be a walk in the park.

Due to the hours I work being wank, and today being Paddy's Day so i finish at 5, this will be the first full Uefa Cup match I've seen this season.
Hopefully it'll be smooth enough. Funny how you can have confidence against Man U, Everton, Chelsea but not Braga.
If Celtic can beat them by 2 clear goals then surely we can. As mentioned above, the crowd is important tonight. No point in whoppers moaning like fuck if were not twatting them by 5 0 after half an hour. Get a goal first half, dont concede, overrun them 2nd half at the Kop end.

My prediction- 3-0. Carrol 2, Lucas

If Lucas is missing, we should go for:

                  Reina

Carra    Skrtel    Agger   Johnson

             Meireles  Spearing

Kuyt           Cole              Maxi

               Carroll
This. :thumbup

and another...

apologies chaps, very bored in uni doing an essay, needed to create some entertainment to perk me up.

In all seriousness, I believe tonight will be tougher than many people expect. As we need 2 goals, I'd like a front 6 of Raul and Lucas/Spearing in the middle, interchanging 3 of Maxi, Cole and Kuyt, with Carroll as the fcal point of the attack.

I reckon the back 4 will be Johnson at lb, JC at rb, with Soto and MS in the middle; not over the moon with that, but its pretty much all we can offer. Thanks Roy for loaning out Insua...oh and Aquilani

That does look quite good...

Wonder whether it would work by swapping Cole and Meireles?
Not sure if Cole can help keep the midfield tight but really like to look of Meireles breaking forward.

Either way, Cole needs a good game.

'not good enough' is more over the top.

Is it?

I think people need to realise that our slide down the table can also be attributed to some of the sub-standard players we're relying on at the moment and not just Hicks and Gillett.

Hyypia was better than Kyrgiakos.
Benayoun was better than Maxi.
Riera was better than Cole.
Alonso was better than Meireles.
Mascherano was better than Lucas.

We've suffered a lot of drops in quality in this side over the last year or two.
"It's there to remind our lads who they're playing for, and to remind the opposition who they're playing against."
