This all seems very convenient - wait to see how many points can be deducted from QPR without causing them to fall lower than 2nd, and deduct that many.

As has been said already...VERY convenient, just waiting to see how the weekend pans out to see if they can get themselves out of making a difficult decision.

Really its a complete bullshit decision and says alot about the FA

Latest news is that they've been found guilty but will not be deducted points.

Just released that they've escaped the points deduction - FA bottled it.  Cardiff may challenge according to some analyst.  Here comes that cnut Warnock next season.

The FA bottled this big style.

They had since September to sort this out properly.

There hs been precedence, they bottled it, should've sorted it in March when they found out not know when it is going to cause mayhem one way or the other.

Cardiff have every right to go after this decision.

Somehow doubt that will happen like.

Well that's a hilarious precedent you've just set there, FA. Well done for that.

I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

O'Neill/Allardyce my tip. Maybe Lippi as an outside shot. Don't know what I'm talking about really...

The pure fucking hypocrisy of that c*nt Warnock to give Rafa stick for playing a "second" team and then to act all innocent in this affair the fucking knobhead! Forgot to mention his intention to sue West Ham over the Tevez saga too, what an utter prick.

I hope Liverpool never win another trophy under Benitez, fumes ex-Blades boss Warnock as Rafa looks set to field another understrength side.

The former Sheffield United manager is still seething that Liverpool lost 1-0 after fielding a severely weakened team at Fulham last May, a result which ultimately kept the London side up by a single point at the Blades' expense.

With Liverpool playing in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, Warnock expects Benitez to leave his star names on the sidelines again against the Cottagers on Saturday but believes that would show contempt for the clubs fighting to preserve their top-flight status.

"My advice to Reading, Bolton and the rest would be, if you're expecting any favours, don't hold your breath," said the Crystal Palace manager. "They will have to do it themselves.
"The fact of the matter is that if Liverpool were already out of the Champions League and needed to win to get fourth spot, they would play their strongest side.
"Instead, I fully expect them to play a weakened team at Fulham.
"It's part of a big club's mentality. They look after themselves and they don't bother about anyone else. The whole story that Sheffield United were going down and me having a pop at them afterwards was just treated like fish and chip paper by them. Liverpool didn't care because they weren't the ones getting hurt by it all.
"I'm still very bitter about it and personally I hope Liverpool never win another trophy under Benitez. I like them as a club but I would be very pleased to see them win nothing."
Warnock still shudders when he recalls the moment he saw Liverpool's line-up at Craven Cottage last season.
"I felt sick, physically sick, when I found out the team Liverpool were playing," said Warnock.
"We had a late kick-off at Villa Park that day and when we saw who Benitez had picked, we were struggling to even think who they were.
"We hadn't even heard of them and a lot of them haven't played for the club since.
"It was scandalous, really. You don't feel it's fair but it just confirmed that these guys don't give two hoots about clubs like Sheffield United or people like Neil Warnock.
"You can talk about rules being put in place to stop it happening but that's not going to happen.
"The Premier League don't care about smaller clubs like Sheffield United, as they proved with the whole Carlos Tevez affair last season.
"Big clubs look after themselves and the people who run the Premier League will always look after themselves. Nothing will ever change.
"The sad thing is I felt we had done enough last season; we had 38 points, which would have been enough in a normal season.
"For us to get that number of points was an achievement and yet it's gone down in history as a relegation on my CV, not an achievement.
"Nobody got hurt apart from me and Sheffield United. Rafa Benitez certainly didn't."

They'll stick with Colin for the first 8-10 games or so, until they're around 15th/16th and then reveal their hilarious aspirations of wanting to be a top 6 side, resulting in Colin's sacking and him going back down to the championship or even league one to manage Sheff Utd again. Then QPR will get a reasonably 'big' name to manage them and they'll still be relegated.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

I don't think Cardiff can do fuck all about it. Their affairs are murkier than dirty dishwater, and in any case they abide by the rules of the FA of Wales which actually do not forbid 3rd party ownership.

It can be challenged, though the FA leaving it so late to announce is going to make it very difficult.

the thing is they've announced that they are guilty of two charges, and that they won't face a points deduction this season or next.  BUT they haven't actually announced what the punishment is.  If they know it isn't points deduction then they should surely know what the fuck the punishment is.

I'd like to know why we were fined £5.5 million & paid The Blunts £20 million in compensation as they got relegated. Where's QPR break rules that have been put in place since & as if yet no news of a fine. Clearly it could be argued thay have denied another team promotion by not playing by the rules.

At the time we were enemy No 1. Journo ( loosely termed) Oliver Holt slagged us off constantly saying we should have been relegated etc etc. What about QPR Holt, no nothing you ain't mentioned it.

That's the funniest part, QPR are nothing more than an investment vehicle for several very rich and well known owners. They'll dump him during the summer.

As for West Ham and others who have felt the wrath of the FA for similar breaches, they should be starting legal action against the FA for compensation.

You have posted literally nothing of substance to flame about.  Your "points", and I dread to call them that, were superficial and completely arbitrary.  Nothing you said could be argued against because nothing you said elaborated a position of any kind.

Aye. Was listening to him spouting off before the match. Shameless doesn't even begin to describe it. No idea on the wrongs and rights in the detail, but you'd think at the very least Warnock would have the sense to recall the stuff he said when boot was on other foot.
