I dunno mate, Furyk, McDowell, Westwood will all be better than +4 for sure I imagine, then 4 other guys might be better. Meh, won't matter anyways for me, unlikely Watney can do that.

Not backed Westwood yet, will do a bet later on in the night maybe.

Think maybe your right, looks like +3 will do it

Yeah some birdie holes near the end. Anyways, Watney finished poorly... so Kuchar for a place now is my only hope of a return, but it's not worth that much to me.

Furyk looking good. Terrible luck for Westie backers there :(

Anyone know what price Senden was at the start? Had him in a small treble with him as top Aussie at 7/1, never considered him for the win though

Cheers Mate. Would have been nice to have tipped up Webb from the start but I'll take the £400 from the in-running bet.

Places for Toms, Duffer and Furyk my main picks.

No offence Pete but how the fuck did you pick Webb? Absolutelty no logical reason to pick him this week? Fucking fuming at Furyk's collapse. Gutted.

Feel like I get a lot right but don't get the reward for it. Hard to take 2nd week after week.

Sorry to be pissed off lads, just gutted at Lee ballsing it up and then Furyk too. Almost ready to fuck it off.

None taken. But if you look back through the thread you will see I backed Webb on Friday night / Saturday morning. Saw Webb Simpson making a good move at the halfway stage and the guy is no doubt a talented individual. Bet365 were offering a plain stupid 66-1 and for values sake I had to take it. Didn't fancy him one iota pre tourney but in running appears to be where I can make some money.

4 out 5 of my main picks finished top 10. 3 of them were no brainers in my opinion Furyk, Dufner and Toms.

Would loved Jim to have seen it through though I must admit.

Yeah fair enough mate, like I said I was just pissed off at the outcome (and pissed!). Shame cos I normally love Webb. Nicely done on the other picks as well.

Fuming here.

Struggling to find any enthusiasm for this week, will be going to Irish Open next week so wanna have a good punt on that and follow my backed players around the course on the Thursday and Friday.

K.T Kim @ 260
Sang Moon Bae @190

My 2 picks for this week, just a bit of a putting competition looking at recent scores in the last few years for this tournament, a short par 70 course, with the average winning score for the last 4 years around -18. And over the last 60 years always a very low scoring tournament. Only 2 times in 60 years has the winning score been in a single figure score. So making your putts drop for birdie will be the key (stupid cliche reading that again!). Sang Moon Bae is an excellent putter from my impressions of him so I'll take a chance with him. KT Kim is ranked 56th in the world ranking, so probably due a big tournament in America, doesn't play in the US much other than big ones, but finished t4 and t6 in the Wyndham and WGC Bridgestone last year, so hoping he'll go well this week at a lovely price. Go on the Koreans.

Fancy Wiesberger in Germany but not too fond of the price.

I will be on English and Bud Cauley,  they are going to win sooner or later and both make a lot of birdies. Would have been on Romero too but he has withdrawn. Been looking at Noh and Bae too, so will probably take the higher priced Bae. Glad to see a nice birdie fest, been some tough tournaments last couple of months.

Yeah they're worth following for sure in the right tournaments, classy players. Not sure English is as good a putter as he is a ball striker though.

Gonna definitely add Michael Thompson this week at 70 on Betfair. Finished 4th in this last year and will be hugely confident going into this after his 2nd in the US Open. 5 top 25 finishes this year in 16 events so pretty consistent. Also near the top of the putting statistics so could be a decent bet this week.

edit And I've added Bradley at 44. Out of form yes but hoping he'll get his confidence his back this week, excellent putter. KT Kim, SM Bae, Thompson and Bradley my team for the week. Trying not to watch or follow any golf this week until Sunday, spent too much time following it recently. Not even gonna check any scores until Sunday! Probably not gonna happen though..

John Merrick for me this week by a country mile.  9th in this last year and coming in off the back of a second place in the St Jude Classic 2 weeks ago.

While many of this weeks field have been Grinding and stressing at Olympia on the other side of America, Merrick has been chilling out (hopefully)

66-1 for the Elephant Man thank you very much :)

Bradley 40/1
English  66/1
Romero 70/1
Bae 150/1

Romero definitely withdrawn?  Really fancied him this week too.

I was wrong to say Harris English mightn't be a good enough putter, he certainly is looking at the stats. Gonna go with him aswell lads. Looks like a bit of a forum gamble with English and Bae this week, hopefully they go well.

Backed Van Pelt for 20 quid at 27 on betfair but layed it off at same price and put it on English instead. Hope Bo Van Pelt does his usual never in contention but finish well act.

John Merrick, Molder and Driscoll in the US. Like Merrick for his recent form and last years finish here. Molder has very nice Putting and GIR stats. Driscoll good finish in this event last year too.  All reasonably big prices on Befair.

Noh, Stroud and Merrick EW 1st rd leaders.

In Germany the event has been moved this year to Cologne from Munich.  The Mercedes Benz championship in 2009 was played on this Cologne course and was won by James Kingston.  So taking this into consideration and literally nothing else behind my reasoning, I have done Kingston at 200-1 along with Wall and Drysdale at 80-1 who both also finished high up the leaderboard round this very track 3 years ago.

Decent 1st rd leader EW bets on Marcel Siem 50-1 and John Daly who has played some good stuff in early rounds lately 100-1.

Speculative low stake EW 1st rd leader punts on overall no-hopers Dixon, J Garcia, Moul, Nixon

Didn't manage to get on before the off, so just taken 100/1 on English. Disappointing back 9 but still think he can go low around here. Also 66/1 on Noh and John Rollins. Interesting stat on Rollins, he has made 8 of 16 regular weekend cuts and in all of those he has finished 25th or better. 2nd here last year and looks like making the cut so hopefully another decent finish is in store.

Also backed Luiten 33/1, he has had some good finishes in Germany and obviously in good form.

Not much to shout about really in either event for me. Drysdale hanging in there in Germany. Wall yet to tee off so maybe good news later but I doubt it.

Looks like I will have to get on somebdy in-running over the weekend in the US unless my picks happen to have a REALLY good day today.

I have just got on Rocco Mediate EW to be 2nd rd leader. 2 off the lead and Rocco has a fantastic 2nd round scoring average. Had a little go at 40-1

David Mathis is leading the bloody thing! I have done Mathis in the last half dozen or more events but tired of him..typical. Hope he fucks it up :)

As soon as I posted that he bogey'd two on the spin.  ha.

Anyway him and Bradley placed nicely at -4 and -5.  Hopefully nobody goes past -9 which Jacobsen has set as the stall for the weekend so far.

Siem nicely placed in the BMW at -5 going into the weekend.  Plenty at the top who will fade away if he can shoot a good score tomorrow.

Didn't bother posting up my crazy little bets this week, but they're not looking that bad at the miniute.  Only had €3.86 in my account to play with.

Double: Jacobson & Stenson €0.86 pays €648.44

Double: Jacobson & Lutien €1 pays €1,189

Double: Adams & Luiten €1 pays €2,501

Double: Mahan & Luiten €1 pays €533

Got 1/4 of a place with John Rollins. So pretty much at 4/1. Not great but covers a quiet week. He played poorly today though and really should have been in with a shout of a win.

AT&T National.

Gone with course form this week which gave me this list.

Jason Day 50/1
Robert Garrigus 60/1
Y.E Yang 150/1
Kevin Chappell 110/1

Might back Davis Love III/ Heath Slocum and Hunter Mahan although might wait a day or so, so that I can actually have an interest going into the weekend for once.

Still fuming with Siem here.  Prick

Anyway standout bet for the At+t is Ryan Palmer at 50/1.  Odds seem rather steep for a man in form and a course to suit.  Noticed a few other people mentioning him too which shows his statistics look good for this one.

I see you've raided the final leaderboard from the 2011 US Open.

Agree with the course form shout but the AT&T will be made considerably easier than the US Open, however its still the same course and course knowledge counts for alot i reckon.  Will probably do Jason Day myself and Kevin Chappell who paid me out on a top 10 finish the other week at Olympia.  As you point out, Chappel is over 100-1 which looks good to me. Garrigus is also a nice money spinner if his game is on form. So i may go for 3 of your picks but will be avoiding Yang (queue YE Yang victory :))

I raise your Marcel Siem with James Driscoll.

180-1 and joint leader of the Travelers after a half dozen or so holes. Lets's watch England then see how he is doing I thought. wanker dissappeared totally off the leaderboard in quicker time in took England to fuck things up.  Not a good night :(
