It's one of the oldest brands of cologne produced (though not as old as the original cologne, Farina 1709). It is quite an old fashioned but fresh scented fragrance, and has lots of citrus. If you've been keeping a bottle for years, it might not be in a very good state, and the fragrance may have gone off. It's a bit marmite, but a lot of people (including me) love it. As it's not stupidly expensive, it makes a good everyday scent. Interesting fact - it was issued to U-Boat men during the war to mask their smell since they were unable to bath for weeks at a time.
