any good young players to buy for my aston villa team on a low budget?

What season is it and how much budget are we talking?

Also, abuse the loan-to-buy feature. You can set any future fee you want and I've found while you can't loan anyone, clubs are much more willing to let players go out if you set a future fee well over the odds that you will never be able to afford. Much prefer actually buying players but setting a loan-to-buy I can never afford to pay out has been a lifesaver in the past.

I do that sometimes, but it feels a bit sweaty. I try not to unless I actually will pay the fee at the end of it, or I use it as a try before you buy.

Aston Villa is a side packed with good young players. Off the top of my head, Delfouneso, Clark, Bannan, Agbonlahor, Delph, Albrighton. Fifa-wise, you're set up for years with those players. I might do a manger mode with Villa, put them into the Championship and sell off all the 'big' older players, focus on the young core.

Yeah, I try not to do it unless it's a "let's see how X signing works out" or I know I'll have the money come the end of the season, but like I set up a file where I was at Norwich. Got Dmitri Payet in on loan two successive seasons using that, even though I couldn't pay up at the end of the season. Both seasons he hardly missed a match, had a good number of assists, and was actually club top scorer the second year. Somehow by the grace of god I got Juve to agree to it and got Buffon in on a loan to buy one season as well.

I try to buy outright, and especially check the free agents if your budget is slim because there are some decent (though often old) players in there, and then I try to go for straight up loan deals, but abusing the loan-to-buy is a great way to inject two or three players of top four quality into a skint bottom side when they otherwise wouldn't agree to a loan.

Finally figured out why I suck so much on H2H - I suck against 5star teams. I stopped playing with them and instead stick to 3-4star teams and am now in Division 5 finally, after what, 30 seasons! Phew!

Another question for those of you kickin' it on FIFA12 - What's your take on Pro Ranked matches? Just tried them out and they're well shit, with every damn player playing for himself - most players are CAMs or STs and when they get put in defence, it's like a 0-0-10 formation with everyone forward, fighting for the ball. Utter chaos.

Pro Ranked is pointless and boring, if you really want to play VP matches online it's definitely better joining a Pro Club. Usually guaranteed to actually play against a defence.

Alright, will give the club thing a whirl. Just played a hilarious pro ranked match where my 'teammates' were slide tackling each other for the ball. I stood my pro next to the goalie and watched the fun unfold in front of me.

Gold accomplishments as in the ones that require World Class difficulty. Those are always a challenge, but there are ones that are damn near impossible like scoring a hat trick outside the area and getting 400 goals on World Class.

I still find this game immensely frustrating with a constant pattern for me.
I get to 13/14 points in Division 3 with a few games left online, then lost at least 6 in a row despite battering the opponent. I would say 9 games out of 10 I have more shots and possession. My biggest problem is finishing, Im essentially Liverpool. I started playing as 4 / 5 star teams online to try and counter the problem, I usually only played as 3-4 star, but the exact thing happened again. I have no problem getting to that points total in Division 3 but cant step on!

The defensive accomplishments yes. The others, no. Just set the sliders (shot accuracy/power, speed) to 100 and all the other way round for the CPU. All attacking accomplishments are easy as fuck now (you can almost score a hattrick from the half way line). You still need to play on world class. Used this for the accomplishments, so I could start a "normal" player career mode later, being rated 84+.

I'm not buying the expansion, but I await others' opinions. Apparently there's some pretty sizable licenses missing from it. Most surprisingly, Ukraine, a side in the finals and the joint hosts.

What was the 54 meg patch for that downloaded yesterday. Can't find any info about it online, only a 12 meg patch for the Euro 2012 shite.

I have noticed that the opposition AI in single player mode has been modified again, so League 2 sides don't ping the ball around the pitch like a team full of Alonso's (as they had the tendency to do after the last update). So that's one good thing

Not read through the thread but is anyone still having problems trying to get online with FIFA12 on the PS3? I just get a message saying not eligible. I've tried resetting passwords and everything I can think of. My PSN account shows my DoB correct.

Other EA games like Battlefield 2 don't work either.

Did you buy them preowned? EA has something called 'Project Ten Dollar,' basically an online pass that you get in all new EA games. If you bought them preowned, you won't have that pass and are therefore ineligible. It's designed to eliminate the pre-owned game market, you'll have noticed a lot of publishers/ developers have started doing similar things. If they're new, you should have a code you can punch in on the back of your game manual.

You have to select online matches from the online menu, from there find game modes and scroll down until you see 2v2 rooms, you are best creating your own room and making it private instead of going into the 2v2 room, stops people from joining and spoiling the party!
