Would love to see Nani get a Dagger special in the face
I can confirm that on this subject at least, there is an almost cultish obsession, which I find quite unnerving.

Mr. Ferguson Charged

Does this mean he'll miss the game on Sunday?

Edit:

Article updated, doesn't look like he will.

Plonker. He always does that, "The referee this, the referee that... oh, sorry that was wrong, I didn't mean that, I shouldn't have said that... No harm done". Yeah, sure. It's like telling a jury "disregard what you just heard". What's done is done, how can you take it back? It's like "getting unpregnant". Wait, that's possible for wolves. It's like "unfart".

I agree with you. Maybe even get Andy on when the Mancs tire after 60 mins - and they will tire. controlling the midfield will win us the game. To be honest, I can see Kenny starting with Poulsen to give Lucas some support in the midfield.

Could be a masterstroke tactics by Kenny...bring Andy on with 20-30 mins to go..whatever the score..can you imagine the roar round Anfield and the atmosphere for the remaining minutes???He deffo be on the bench!

And Carra and Soto are better?  Utd are probably praying those both play so they know that they will just get the ball back after every attack so they can try again.

lets not get all cocky and we'll hammer them shite, they dont often loose 2 on the spin and our record bar the last 2 seasons at Anfield against the mancs is poor. We need to look at ourselves and improve considerable from the perfomances of the last 4 games.
Yeah, this is a very good point. With Alex kicking them all around the dressing room yesterday they may come out fighting! However, with Vidic being absent that is definitely some kind of advantage for us...I would also like to see the Johno - Carra - Dagger - Aurelio combo at the back, and I'm up for Spearing starting, he's sharp minded and tough. The ace is going to be bringing Carroll on sometime in the 2nd half...the mental impact and boost as I said earlier will be enormous - and could swing it for us!!
Can't wait...;-)

With Vidic and Ferdinand out, I would say this is a great chance to get 3 points; we just have to neutralise Nani and win the midfield battle.
If United lose the midfield battle, they usually have their brilliant defence and clinical strikeforce to rely on, however without Valencia and neutralising Nani their strikeforce would be limited, and without Vidic and Ferdinand, their defence can look shaky.

Meireles, Gerrard and Lucas all in midfield for me, without two wide men to help the LB and RB as Lucas can cover and 4-5-1 would be too defensive.
Don't know who to play up front, as it looks unlikely that Carroll will be fit.

                        Reina
Johnson - Carra - Agger - Aurelio
         Gerrard - Lucas - Meireles
    Suarez                               Cole
                           Kuyt

Im not 100% on who is out and who is in, so please correct me if there is a definite absentee on my chosen XI.

No. Just no.Agger has become our most important player since Kenny took over. We need him at his natural position. If not our attack doesn't have its ammunition and our defense doesn't have its walls.

And play who right back? Carragher?

Either him or we trust Wilson at the left and move glen to the right.

Or we play 3 central defenders.

            Carra/Soto   Agger      Skrtel
Glen                                                         Wilson

OR its time to give Flannagan his debut.

I think Suarez will have a much better time this weekend than he did against West Ham. I can't see Caroll starting so I hope either Ngog or Kuyt lead the line with Suarez as a support striker to test O'Shea and Smalling to the limit.

I hope Rooney and Hernandez start, worried Berbatov has that edge against us after his hatrick at OT in the league. We need to make sure we just close Rooney down though, he can produce magic at any moment as we've seen recently but his all round play still isn't what it was.
