They should have given him more time for questions.

Granted, they had to cover the cup final, but I don't think the Nolan/Kalou bits were required.

The saddest part in all that for me was listening to him talking about how a new job would have to be a project, because of the financial crisis working with the academy, building the club.  That was the vision he had for us only for H&G c*nts to fuck it up.  We are beginning to see the fruits of his work in what's happened with our youths this season and it's such a shame he wasn't allowed to complete his vision in rebuilding the club from top to bottom under ownership that was supportive rather than destructive.

I thought Kalou came across very well to be honest. You also have to remember that this show isn't designed specifically for Liverpool fans.

It's not 'Liverpool/Benitez Focus'

He obviously trusts a couple of people at the Beeb, I'd say the amount of focus on him recently considering he's out of a job is over and beyond what I'd expect. But then again, Rafa hit the nail on the head when he said people in this country don't know him but like to talk and talk about him

Salomon Kalou is such a fun name to say.
You have posted literally nothing of substance to flame about.  Your "points", and I dread to call them that, were superficial and completely arbitrary.  Nothing you said could be argued against because nothing you said elaborated a position of any kind.

Enjoyed that, always a pleasure to hear Rafa's views on the game. He looks wonderfully relaxed at the moment which is good. Still think he may end up at City, but I would love him to come back once King Kenny's had his time here.

I would love it if Rafa became a full time pundit/analyst for a season or two , will be brilliant to listen to his tactical insights. A guest column or two in the Guardian/beeb would be fantastic too. With the proliferation of brain dead ex players spouting their inane shite in the English media , we need someone with some class and real understanding of the game.
Rafa Benitez forever.

Love him.
"My coach told me to warm up just before the break. He told me I was going to take care of Kaka. I didn't think it was possible to turn things around but in the dressing room at halftime Rafa Benitez was calm - "We are Liverpool FC, we have so many fans, we are not going to be slaughtered. If we can score a goal quickly we push on from there.""

Really enjoyed seeing and listening to Rafa. This man is a class act! The trouble is every time I see him, I also feel real regret over what we have lost. To think the Club actually paid to get rid of him and paid even more to replace him with Hodgson - I still can't comprehend that, was it just some bad dream?

It will kill me to see Rafa manage another Premier League Club but I wouldn’t blame him if he did. After all, his family are settled here, he needs to keep his hand in and, most importantly, the Club turned its back on him he didn’t turn his back on the Club. I really appreciated the respect he showed Kenny during the show too by effectively saying that he wouldn’t want to be linked with the Liverpool job whilst Kenny is at the helm.

I truly hope he comes back home once Kenny decides to call it a day. I would love to see him complete the project he started. As Rafa said, ‘to manage Liverpool again in the future would be a dream’. Well, Rafa, It’s my dream too!

I dont care where he gets a job next the minute im able to im going to wherever it is to shake his hand and say thank you for what he did for us.

I'm one of those who has the belief that as a club we dont do unfinished business the way kenny left had to be rectified...it was..
the way rushie left had to be rectified and he came back
the way god was sold had to be resolved and it was.

I have no fears at all in knowing that eventually rafa's gonna return as our boss not in the near future but eventually and frankly i hope everyone supports him cos not everyone did during his time at the club and thats wrong.

It needs resolving....It will be.

Lovely post that and to think Rafa holds no grudges after what he had to endure with both Twit & Twot and the snake Purslow.

Good luck in whatever you do Rafa but make sure you leave enough time in your career to come back home to us, such a shame you didn’t get to finish what you started.

To me Rafa leaving hurts more than Torres.
