Good ole fashioned Battlefield v Call of Duty argument.

"You're a fanboy"

"No, you're a fanboy"

It's all rather tiresome.

Yeah, unfortunately that seems to be the aim of the game now for some though which is kinda dumb, was more fun before.

Mind you i swapped them items i got from deus ex preorder for a copy of Space Marine, and my Quake launcher for Limbo. Some good deals going on steam trading forum for random preorder items.

In what way does what I wrote sound anything like a kid?

Your view that this "BETA", 1 month away from a retail release, will be honed and crafted based on consumer feedback, is somewhat childish though.

Perhaps you need to remind yourself what "BETA" really means.

The game we're playing is outdated, most likely a few months. It is in no way reflective of the state of the game today, nor a month from now. There is supposed to be a lot of bugs, glitches and so on because it's an incomplete game ffs!

It will be an old build, most beta's are.

They'll iron out absolutely nowt.  A beta is just a fancy way of saying a demo.  The content is tied down and nothing of note will change based on this.
It's not, though. From experience playing beta's from DICE and other companies in the past, it's strictly for testing purposes and to check servers. There is no way in hell DICE will let themselves release a game in the state that it is in. The clipping for a start will surely get sorted. That is the biggest issue with the beta.

Just been snipered 4 times in about a minute by the same person. The respawn takes the piss as times. Getting sick and tired of my gun not firing for no reason, plus letting me know i've been killed about a second before I die. I know its an old build, but the could of sorted that out at least before releasing the beta

Surely the point of a closed beta is to try and iron out the major flaws pre-open beta? What have they been doing for the past month?

Stops firing when its on auto. its almost as if you've run out of ammo and need to reload, yet when you look at the bottom left you can have nearly a fill clip left bar 4 or 5 rounds.

Very frustrating and it put me off the beta last night.

Think once you look past the glitches and bugs that won't be in the release version the core game itself is great.

That is why I don't play BETA's much - I'd rather let someone else get frustrated with stupid bugs, just give me the finished article on release day and I will be happy, this is also why I took Dead Island back and traded it for FIFA 12 today, buggy piece of crap.

Played it again and i think im getting the hang of it. I like the idea of taking your time moving together through an area, miles better attacking then defending since that's just camping. The sights are still shit but i've learnt to fire in bursts so my ammo lasts longer. Still very annoying spotting an enemy shooting at him a few times then realising you have to reload, quite good the first time since i must have walked into their spawn, started shooting like a maniac, killed one but had to reload, hid behind a pillar but for some reason they never realised. Gets a bit frustrating see an enemy walking buy but you know you have to stay in cover to reload.

Glitches are annoying but hope they get fixed. Don't understand all the levelling and changing weapons but i haven't tried so just using the stock four options.

Not sure I can get into this.  It's just full of people hiding in bushes and lying on the floor with sniper rifles ADS.

Quite like the look of the game, and the player movements are pretty good.

Best thing is to ignore what people say. Play it for yourself and judge it on your own merit.

I can see why people were disappointed with the Metro map. No vehicles, somewhat linear, too many sniping tits hiding in bushes. That's fine, though. For me, a map like this is needed. Why? Because it breaks up the map rotation and gives variety. By the time the game is released, Metro will be tightened up, and it'll be somewhat enjoyable, but not a particular favourite in the same way Nelson Bay was in BC2. I've yet to try Caspian Border, so I'm off now to try and land a server spot.

Fret not, plenty of people on here seem to be enjoying it. It was my first encounter with any Battlefield game so getting used to the controls and the likes hasn't helped.

Think the thing with battlefield games is you have to stick at for a while before you start to appreciate the finer points if It's your first time.

When you get to grips with the team play ethic, blowing fuck out of things with vehicles and finding that each class opens up different types of gameplay it should win you over.

This is why DICE have shot themselves in the foot by having a rush map set in bloody Paris, it's to pull the MW crowd in so I can see why they've done it. It doesn't really show what Battlefield is about, the squad management is fucking shite as well. I remember how amazing the BF2 demo was, I played that alone for like 2 months as it was a conquest map and you could really get a feel for everything.

too be fair mate if they wanted to pull in MW crowd they would have just put out a TD mode in the beta, and let everyone run bout like loons shooting each other ;D
and for the ppl moaning about this game, its a BETA get a grip, and if you still dont get it go back to playing MW  simples
