Of all our recent signings it is Andy Carroll who I most want to succeed.
Don't get me wrong, I love to see Suarez score and hope he carries on with his goal a game routine, and hope that the others carry on settling in as they seem to be.
Downing, Henderson and Adam have the reassurance that they are part of a trio all trying to settle in together. Carroll though came in alongside Suarez who has been an instant success, is loved by the Kop, has bags of talent and seems to be able to score for fun.
Carroll's injury obviously held him back and he is only now starting to play on a regular basis and start to form any sort of understanding with his team-mates. On top of that he has to put up with idiots who constantly mention his price tag every time they mention his name or whenever he does a mis pass etc, and I don't think his confidence has been high.
Hopefully as the season progresses he will settle in more and start to feel comfortable within the team, and we can really start to see just what we know he is capable of.
