Cos hes a total numpty. Johnson is a top class full back. Certainly doesnt need milner for "protection"  :butt

It's bewildering how he's been in football for as long as he has yet thinks shit like that.

I don't get it. How does he work in football and come to that conclusion?

To be honest he said Terry has been World class and anyone who has watched Terry these last few months knows that's so far from the truth it hurts, anything he said after that held no merit for me.

Dunno what this is doing half way down the page.

Thought he was Englands best player by a country tonight. Excellent defensively (especially those late blocks) and did as much as anyone in white going forward.

All of our lads done well this tournament but im especially pleased for Johnson.

Had a really good tournament and was very consistent. His ball into Rooney in the first 10 mins was inch perfect. I thought all the back 4 can come out with credit. His positioning sense impressed me a lot making last ditch challenges which he might not of made a few months back.

No. No. No.

England should have still picked Micah Fucking Richards ahead of him. Its an absolute travesty that the English media and majority of the English fans don't see how brilliant Glen is. No wonder they have won fuck all. It would stay like that until they appreciate players like Johnson and Carrick. Glen has been the best right back this Euros. Proud to have him in our team.

Not sure I get it... But yeah, Johnson is very composed from the spot and his technique is great. Unlike Cole's, who's apparently inculpable... in training... Or Young, who went for the right spot with the wrong power...

Think he meant that Pirlo was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch.

Johnson was easily England's best player though.

Yep, I would use outstanding for his performance last night. Did everything right defensively, even though Lawrenson tried to blame him for playing Balotelli onside twice (both times it was Terry, the first one Johnson wasnt even in the still shot as he was running back).
He'll kick on from this, he's looking more and more confident, definitely best right back in our league, and as I've said for a couple of years only Alves is better.
Would sacrifice Fordy in a sacred Mayan ritual to have him as the next Liverpool manager

I think only Lahm is better. As crazy as it may sound, I would rate both Alves and Glen on the same level. The only aspect where I would say Alves is better than Glen is crossing, otherwise Glen would match him or is better in the other aspects.

Glen was great agin last night I thought. Unlucky not to score having done much of the hard work to create the chance in the first place. Also provide a perfect cross for Rooney to get his wig on. A couple of last ditch tackles will surprised me given he can't really defend (joke!).

One bit that summed up his game, and his 'non-Hodgson' performance was when he beat his man, on hiw own goal line to buy some space before dribbling out and finding nothing on bar a 50 yard crossfield pass to Carroll.

Carrick is better than Parker and Barry, IMO.

You're right and he's not even great. Wilshere could be Englands Pirlo but if he's passing the ball to Milner and young it won't make any difference. England need a midfield, not a midfielder.
But back to Glen. He was Englands best player whilst playing in the sort of team that doesn't get the best from him. I thing he'll excel under Rodgers. His style should get the best from Johnsons attacking gifts. We just need to make sure we have quality to link up with him on the right.

GJ seems to be one of those footballers that no matter how well he performs, its his few poor mistakes that are magnified x10 and perpetuated as the norm to form peoples lazy opinions for them, which just adds to his "can't defend" myth. But they're so many retards that no fuck all following England it can't be helped.
