Methinks you don't watch much of Ribery. They both dive plenty and Ribery tends to enjoy a dramatic little fall doesn't he?

Lol, that video is hilarious, tbf I haven't seen any of those games live.

Some absolutely do. Certain players will get slagged off regardless of their actual performance. Lucas was one, Jordan and Glen are the ones to whom it applies now.

It's incredible isn't it, surely it means they go through the whole match hoping a player is going to be bad. I really don't understand it.

There was a time when Ribery blew past everyone in the England time, including Johnson. Also remember the arm to the face when Ribery skinned him?

And what came of that? Did Ribery actually skin him? no
So did Ribery actually skin Glen Johnson yesterday? No
How fucking hard is that to comprehend?

Debuchy got skinned by Wellbeck twice in the second half and he's supposedly the second coming of Dani Alves in your eyes.
Would sacrifice Fordy in a sacred Mayan ritual to have him as the next Liverpool manager

Watch the game again, Ribery skinned him at least twice, just because nothing came of it doesn't mean he didn't skin him. Also I said Johnson was England's best defender yesterday. Debuchy didn't get skinned at all, you are confusing him with Mexes now after confusing him with Rami. Get it right.

That was the one time I remember Ribery getting the better of him.  Resulted in a free kick that wasn't in the most dangerous of areas.

That's pretty much all that one of the best wingers in the world got out of him all game..

It was Debuchy, Gerrard headed the ball into space and Wellbeck and Debuchy both ran for it.

And I wasnt wrong about your eyesight, I never mentioned Rami once.

I reckon Alou Diarra and Debuchy were comfortably better than Glen yesterday.

England's MOTM I should've said. Not sure there was much between Johnson and Debuchy, both did very well. Diarra's a good shout though, really can't work out why he was never given one single chance at Liverpool, but that's off-topic and a long way in the past!

It shows what a wonderful place the world is when the perfect music to call yourself down to, having read some of the shite spouted on here, is actually Debuchy.

Fair enough. Glen would've been my choice for England MOTM too.

Johnson was boss.

I've watched the game twice, he was not skinned twice, once, or anytime by any player. Ribery nearly got past him and went down crying that he got elbowed when it was a hand to the chest and hardly a foul.

Johnson had one lapse of concentration where he didn't come back from an attack quick enough and there was a hole on our right that wasn't plugged as he jogged back and Ribery managed to get in to it. Johnson out-ran him from 5 yards back, got in his way, and blocked a cross for a corner. He had one of the worlds best wingers in his pocket and Ribery ended up on the right at times drifting away from Johnson, and even attempted to get him sent off so he could have a chance of playing some football and not just receiving the ball and passing it backwards.

Not the first time and not the last. Johnson deserves to be playing the likes of Ronaldo and Messi, he has consistently had the likes of Bale and other top wingers in the premier league in his pocket and if anything, struggles through lapses of concentration against the weaker teams * very rarely. Cometh the big game, Glen Johnson is as solid as any player in the world in the fullback position defensively.

It's all well and good defending him but he never outpaced Ribery. Ever.

John cross would rather have phil jones at right back though, surely he's right?

He is right though. I mean why won't you give game time to someone like Jones who has massive potential and can be the new Baresi instead of Glen who is hardly that good?

Welbeck wasnt called offside then...what the hell, he skinned Debuchy, came inside, laid it off to Chamberlain who lost it on the edge of the box to Rami..

No, he skinned Rami, Debuchy was often found in England's half. Debuchy skinned Ox and Cole in either half.

Completely lost it yesterday when my cousin said Kyle Walker's England's best right back right after telling me I didn't know anything about football after I said Carrick's better than Barry. The only reasoning he could come up for Walker being good was "he's exciting". Said Johnson was one of England's worst players against France too.

Ended up calling him a fucking idiot in front of my family, no regrets. He always manages to bring up how because I've never played football properly that I just "don't understand". Tired of having to listen to morons spouting Sky's bollocks without even realising it.

Was very good, except for the Sweden first goal when he was too deep and played them onside, also he maybe could have cleared it off the line.  But he did play well otherwise.
