He was brilliant getting forward today and some of his little tricks were top draw. Importantly, he was solid as a rock at the back. I don't know whether its being on the left or playing under Kenny but he looks so assured at the moment.

He's doing well but I think he's a completely different player on the right, there's no doubt playing on the left inhibits him a bit and I really hope a LB is the priority in the summer.

Always been a big fan of Glen, and I'm pleased to see him doing so well at left back!
He is a massive threat going forward and his defensive side is nowhere near as bad as the media would have you believe, yes he has the odd lapse in concentration and these get highlighted but overall I think he does a good job whichever side of the defence he plays

with Kelly on RB, he has to be the LB...do we need to buy a LB anyway? We wont drop Kelly and Johnson on bench is not going to happend also..

Are him and Fernando having a power walking race?

I honestly think he can fit in at left-back next season, Kelly has that right back spot nailed down. Aurelio can play back up and if both Aurelio and Johnson get injured then the young Jack Robinson could step up, he's developing well. Or we can get Insua back.

To be honest, I think wing back is the perfect position for him, he's clearly built for it attacking/defensively wise.

I mostly agree with this.

We certainly need some extra cover.  Right now Kelly's backup is Johnson and Johnson's backup is Aurelio.  Not exactly deep.

However, since Glen has been moved to left back his defense has improved drastically and he's not getting caught forward nearly as often.  Whether this has to do with the move or with the King's influence I'm not sure but it's working fairly well at this point.  Plus Kelly has been fantastic.

Don't know if it's because he's switched to the left or just because he's got his confidence back... but he's looking a lot better as a left back. Also I think playing as a wingback in the last two games has helped him.

I'm happy with him on the left and Kelly on the right. They're both very good going forward, they're both looking more than solid in defense. Both deserve their spots in the back 4/5.

He is a better right back than Kelly

Kelly to develop into the centreback we all want him to be please

Johnson was the best player on the pitch today for me. Oozes quality.

Absolutely made up he has proved me totally wrong during his early LFC career. I didn't think he would make it here, but during last season I seen something changing. Also his defensive abilities are underrated. He's in best form for us but last few months have seen him really accept responsibility. Well done Glenn, keep up the good work.

I hope that he goes back to rightback next season, having a central partnership of Agger and Kelly who can both play the ball out of defence would be a revelation to our side and Glen will look fine at either fullback position when playing for a manager that doesn't ignore his strengths.

Thought he was outstanding today
He's got a tattoo on his wrist that says "I hate blackie blackie blackie blacks, and I fucking love handballing it into the opponent's goal and away from my own goal, and biting people, and kicking young kids in the bollocks when they ask for autographs. And diving. I fucking love that."

He's done well but I am still yet to see him whip in a decent cross with his left foot. He still tends to cut in which is understandable. I think it's imperative that we address this problem in the summer because good delivery is something Carroll will need. Our crossing has still been quite poor from both Johnson and even Kelly to a certain extent.

Glen at right wing back would be awesome, but Kelly is in brilliant form. Maybe at somepoint in the future we may see something like:

                               Reina

                 Kelly        Carra       Agger

Johnson                  Lucas                     Aurelio

                  Gerrard            Meireles

                  Carroll             Suarez
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Not a chance.
Kelly has better delivery, is faster, is a better tackler, and is taller.

A centre back maybe in 10 years but for now with such great attributes he'd be wasted stuck back there.

One of the biggest criticisms of Johnson is that he loses concentration sometimes. But because he is playing out of position he is having to concentrate on his game for 90mins, so in a funny way it is helping him. Great Today!

I would really like to see how he shapes up in a 3-5-2 as a right wing-back though, with Fabio at left-back.
