http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/dalglish-aiming-higher

Kenny Dalglish insists Liverpool should be aiming much higher than seventh place in the Barclays Premier League following a second successive victory over Fulham on Wednesday night.

What a refreshing difference from the last "manager."

Can we PLEASE get Stevie off corners though, he'd be so much better being in the box waiting to bang them in.
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

It's clear the players are enjoying their football...and the team are playing with confidence and to their strenghts.

I am sure they couldn't care less how we win because 3 points is 3 points.

This is what we do. And we do it very well. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bM8gOyjeuc

Both Sky Sports and the BBC are painting the win as luck, when if we had any Torres would have scored the opener.

Good, business-like performance, bit nervy towards the end but thats to be expected in the post-Hodgson era.

Raul gave another great performance and I was also made up with Johnson at LB, see what happens when you get a skinhead!!

Another three points and a clean sheet.  Exactly what was needed. A seven day rest will help, as the lads can focus more on working on some things in training.

That shitheap the reds played on at Wolves took its toll on the boys last ten mins. Most were blowing for tugs at the end. KK said he wants to win ugly now and than and boy that was ugly. All adds to the confidence building exercise KK and the back room staff are engaged in. They stuck together against a decent Fulham team that fancied their chances tonight and fair play to Sparky for having a real go. Job done.

Agree with that completely.

was class, liked the way Johnson stepped in for Stevie too, even though it didnt look like he needed any help.

we need quality wingers
No Kuyt..No Maxi
we need QUALITY wingers!!!
THIS

Both were rubbish. Would rather they sit on the bench than hinder our chances of moving up in the ladder. Maxi had a hint of Luis Garcia. Crap in possession and couldn't make a right pass all night. Dirk has regressed.
Hope Kenny can bring some wing talent ni the summer. These two cut cut it.
Glad we won!

It was onside, but very close and easy for the linesman to call it wrong, evened out with a lucky scrappy goal.

Why did it even itself out?

It was onside. We were on the end of a shit decision. Again. The quality of our goal has fuck all to do with it.

I think the entire team should shave their heads as a sign of solidarity and a means of intimidation. Maybe Fernando would focus more on his football and less on his hair as well.

I am happy enough with that performance. It is a million miles away from Roy even though it was a bit hairy at times (mind you, I'm not sure how much of that is a hangover from those tewwible few months). We are showing signs of getting forward in numbers too, and getting bodies back quickly which reminds me a little of Chelsea back in the Maureen days - Clarke's influence no doubt. It's also not bad to get some bringing back down to earth after all the heady 31-pass stuff. Another week now to clear out the leftover poison still in our system from the last regime and we'll be getting back to being at the level we should be. What a fucking relief!  :wave

Won't bother doing a match report as it's getting late.

Though, I do a few spanners to throw into the mix:

Kuyt should be relegated to the bench, pronto.
Johnson is the most improved player of the Dalglish regime to date.
Our side desperately lacks pace.
Skrtel needs replacing.
Anyone who can't see how Adam could fit in this team needs their head testing.

And finally...

Gerrard ruins the equilibrium of our team and we desperately miss Lucas when he's not playing.

Well done Redmen.

We're a work in progress, and we're making progress.

Form and confidence hinge on games like this when you hang on and the ball falls your way, Two back to back wins now, the fighting spirit to dig in was there despite our inability to calm things at the end, and we played some good football too.

Three wins in a row if we beat Stoke. Belief comes together as results come together they rely on each other.

Back to where we ended last season, seventh. Forward, Reds.

Well said, we've been through a really traumatic one and a half season, it will take a string of good results to completley banish those nerves, gerrard is not and never will be a central midfield player he looks lost when played there

Tough night, Fulham played well. Didn't see as much fluency and movement in the midfield tonight, I thought the system was rather more rigid than against Wolves. But a good win against a team picking up form and we showed good resilience!

Just got back. Good performance overall although we were a bit lucky at times. Thought Gerrard was our worst player- tried to do too much and play every position on the pitch bar keeper. Needs to try to stick to one role.

Maxi and Kuyt's problem is neither of them are ball carriers, once they are closed down that's it, unless their is an easy pass forward it goes back or sideways.
I lost count of the number of times it happened tonight

Need at least one option out wide who can take on a man, why isn't Johnson on the wing when Aurelio is fit?

Was decent to go the match for a while and see us win, playing some good football at times and a clean sheet.

However why the crowd think I know how to help the team, scream my head off and give them abuse. I understand being upset some times, however I hear people screaming like it's the end of the world!

Players looked tired near the end. Meireles impressing again.

Greatest point of defending for an hour, especially for Hodgson. Positional play is important but so is pressing! Attacking football has produced better defending.

Anyways thanks for everything Kenny!

Also felt, up to a point, like we made our own luck today. Although it was uncomfortably close at times there was a sense of unity in the team. Pulling together and a genuine belief we would win this and the players pulled together to make it happen.

That is exactly the right attitude and exactly the right thing to take from a game like this.

Its things like this that confidence and form spring from. You take a win when you have not played coherently for all the game, when you had your backs against the wall, all of a sudden you have two clean sheets and two back to back wins, you have a home game next with a week to prepare, you can look to be putting some form together.

We are making progress, even though its uneven. Three weeks and the difference Kenny is making is apparent.
