I think so but the bottom line is they are fucking shrewd businessmen and arguably their first signing is the most important as it'll set the tone for all future transfer negotiations i.e. we won't be fucked around on the price for any player irrespective of how much cash we have or how good that player is. Here's hoping that's the way they play it anyway.

OK many Spanish clubs are in financial difficulty, other than Barca and Madrid, Barca dont need him and Maureen wants a Drogba like striker not this type of player. Italy are not competing at this level of money and havent been for a while. Added to that is the fact the player has come out and said he wants to play in England as he thinks the game suits him, that would make clubs in other countries shy away. I have no clue why people judge players based on who else is trying to sign him, were Pepe or Torres picking from all the clubs in Europe when they chose us, No but they turned out pretty well, and theres plenty of others too.

So far we may or may not have reached an agreement for 3 players both we have apparently undervalued quite considerable IF reports are true (Adam / Suarez / N'zogbia). strangely enough though the 12.7m + the 5.8m equals the 18.5m (21.75m euros) which would apparently get him! cue xfiles music!
