Blackburn should be there for the taking by an even half-decent side.

Normally I'd reckon we'd have these but Roy's still in charge & it's an away game so there's only one outcome...

Yep. Torres being miffed after 40 minutes and hobbling off after 80 is on the cards I fear.

The horrible thing is .... I can actually see that too !

Think (shamefully so - as I use to be the most optimistic RAWKITE) this will be a carbon copy of Wigan away! :'(

Infamous 2-nil defeat, I reckon.

Hopefully Blackburn play like a girls under-11 blind school team....then we might nick a point.

Despite Blackburn being utterly wank I have no confidence at all that we can win there.  A defeat and a bad performance will Shirley be the end for hodgson.

The worrying thing for me is that whoever plays us at their ground can sense a victory because of our poor away record & are even more up for it than usual. Not just tonight but for every away game my expectations are low! Thanks Roy!

So what sides of the pitch will Maxi and Cole play on? They've both played mostly on the left hand side this season.

And I'd have Agger at CB. He needs games and he doesn't HOOF it!

I think we'd all like Agger to play. However, he's not yet completed a full 90 minutes after coming back from a couple of months out injured. In fairness, 3 games in a week might be a bit too much for him at this moment in time.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Hodgson SACKED in the morning (wont happen fenway want to keep him)

Don't think the new owners necessarily want to keep Roy. They probably expected for him to see out the season before replacing him. The events of the last few weeks may have forced them into acting earlier.

While I'd like to see Roy gone, in some ways I'm glad the new owners aren't pandering to the short term demands of the supporters. The appointment of a new manager at any time is an important decision, the crossroads Liverpool find themselves at means our next managerial appointment is key for the long term future of the club.

Maybe I'm giving NESV the benefit of th doubt, but I see it as them taking their time to make sure the next appointment is the right choice an in keeping with the strategy they have laid out for the club. The difficulty they have is getting the right appointment in place long term while balancing that against the  damage it could cause by prolonging Roy's stay as manager.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

With Roy in charge, the best ideally would be to take an early lead and play keep ball. With the MU game coming up, most of the strating 11 will be needed.

If BB score first, we'll just end up chasing the ball all game & wear everyone out.

Hope these rumours about Roy leaving have reached the dressing room and the players decide to play to their own way - no hoofing, defend higher up, keep Cole & Maxi wide, feed Torres with passes that he likes.
The rejuvenation has begun

This game is so much more important than the sunday game vs the mancs. We could be in very serious trouble if we lose this one.

I hope for the sake of mustard that Roy plays with the best players. No effin Konch or Poulsen. Ta

Agree.  Sunday's for show.  This one's for dough.

45 points after 20 games we had two years ago.  Even after our pitiful start last year we had 33pts.

I'm not even contemplating us being on less than a shite 28 after tonight.

Nah, Roy is shite but talk of relegation is scaremongering. We only need 15 points, or 5 wins from 19 games. Its not going to happen.

Not that I'm suggesting we rest everyone. I think we need a strong team in both games.

Jesus Roy has succeeded in lowering our expectations if he thinks having a good go at Blackburn and the mancs in the same week is impossible.
