Gamepad works fine for me, so it's just you. Or it might be the game. Any options to change the controls in the game options? Gamepad-driver up to date?

I've tried to change controls in the game but the game pad option is alway blanked out and I cant choose it. Will check to see if the drivers are updated or not.

Just got LA Noire for a fiver.

Me too. Apparently you can't play it as if it was GTA 1940s - I had 15 minutes to play on my first go so instead of finding clues etc at the first murder scene I ran out into the road, flagged down a nifty looking convertible and went to drive off in it. Realised my partner was trying to run along behind me so decided to put him out of his misery. "Mission Failed. Partner Killed." Hmm.

Not so arsed about not being able to kill and run people over, it's the small niggles that is ruining this game for me. Like you can't skip cut scenes. If you get a question wrong you have to go through the whole process all over and 1 wrong answer and you have to repeat, unable to skip the dialogue, so unnecessary. Also playing in Dx11 is giving me all kinds of graphical grief. Checking the map you have to press Esc to exit, rather than M like you do to open it and it goes to the Esc menu screen having to press Esc again to get back to the action, more time wasting frustration when you're constantly checking the map like me.

What's the point of a game where you can't go on the rampage?

I'm trying to buy stuff but the servers are overloaded at the moment.

What's annoying is I had a 75% coupon for Serious Sam 3 (brought it down to about £2.50). Went to buy it, and I got a transaction error before I checked out. No big deal I thought, I'll try again - only now the coupon which I still have is showing as "n/a" discount and the game is full (well, normal sale) price. I would contact Steam support but it'll probably be years before they get back to me.

I was looking at the Telltale pack but I only want Walking Dead and Back to the Future, so that's £25ish for the two. I might get the Kalypso pack if Tropico 4 doesn't get a bigger discount before the end of the sale. Or maybe the Ubisoft pack? Too much choice!

i've really enjoyed chapter 1 and 2 of Walking dead, it's slow paced and very much a watch the story type game but it's different to everything out there at the minute, quite an old fashioned point and click in many ways, not surprising after their other games of course

It most likely won't, Day-Z is out and it's been one of the top sellers on steam for the last month.

Cheers anyway mate, Do you think any of the ARMA 2 collection will drop to below £10.00

The deals on at the moment are ridiculous though

It's only 20% off at the moment, so there's a good chance it could go lower in the daily deals or one of the flash sales. Then again like Crouched said it's selling well at the price it is, so it might not do.

i completed the first portal on the xbox, cracking game! i only managed a few hours on portal 2, the big draw for me to buy it on the pc is the community developed maps etc, tons of single player and co op maps available!

bargain btw!  :)

Just got Portal 2 and the Grand Theft Auto collection for less than £15. Made up, but my first love is point and click adventure gaming and I'm seriously tempted by the TellTale pack for £30. I know Tales of Monkey Island and Back To The Future are good, as I've already got them from *ahem* somewhere else (although I'd prefer to buy them properly and not have to deal with crack files giving me hassle every episode, I'm only half-way through both), but I'm not sure if Jurassic Park and Walking Dead are worth the extra money. Anyone played them? Puzzle Agent (also included) looks amateurish and shit so I'm ignoring it.

A friend played a episodic point n click called Hector from Telltale and said it was really good. Showed me a bit and it was fucking funny.

Hector is brilliant, and very funny too. Price is a bit high compared to the US price though, so if you know someone from the US, ask them to gift it to you and Paypal them the money.

Cheers chaps.

Just bought Scratches for less than the price of a bevvy. Cheers Paul. I've already played the Still Life games otherwise I'd have snapped them up, a steal at that price. Of the Pendulo stuff, there's only 'Yesterday' I haven't played, so not worth it for me. Cheers for the suggestions though. Hector looks OK, but I'll pass though keep an eye on it.

Just bought Bully: Scholarship Edition for a fiver. I've got the 360 version (which I've not really played - it came with the console 4 years ago!) which is  going for about 20 quid on ebay. So unless it's a shit, unplayable, PC port, I may be about to get my other purchases paid for. Lovely stuff.
