The Mrs says that the 'hotel' will do la. I don't mind the 'hostels' but there's only so much that Mrs ACLE will share. Matchball knows that she doesn't even share a pint of Amstell! See you all in the ale house  ;) ;) ;)

Have a great Xmas and New Year all of you fellow Euro away travellers......Here's to some great trips in the coming year but perhaps without the usual hassles we've had this year.

Was out last night with a mate who goes to Prague quite a lot and who was in Prague recently, he reckons we're going to have a brilliant time and quite cheap out there apart from some of the usual tourist traps.

Going to be a good one.....

Been in some brilliant hotels over the years and there are always plenty of other reds knocking about to have a laugh with. Plus when you get older it's nice to have a bit of comfort mate! As for some of the younger lads I can understand them wanting the crack with other youngsters plus they can save a few bob by doing the hostels. But like everything else there are good and bad of both.

As for your Mrs, I heard that it takes that long for you to buy her a beer that she daren't spill a drop let alone share any of it!  ;D The ale house it is then lad  :wave

Kev thanks fro the PM, still i cant PM back.

I will be in the UK Jan 7-17 i have tickets for Man U , Blackpool and Everton games, sods law that you will be in Dubai when i am in the UK.
If you get delayed in Dubai past the 17th Jan get in touch.

Yes going to Prague (16th - 19th)  booked same hotel as Phil and the lads and i have a twin room, if you can wait a couple weeks before booking a room i will let you know if my mate is going, if not then there is room with me.

Not booked me flights yet but so far cheapest way for me is via Dubai - Kiev - Prague or the more expensive flight direct on Emirates Dubai - Prague.

PM me your personal email address i can then keep in touch.

Even if i did book a room, no guarantee of kipping in it.

Best book one just in case though...

Most have got cheap flights and hotels from what I've heard and sounds like quite a cheap City for beer and food etc but looks like match tickets could be a bit expensive as Sparta Praha released their ticket info today and prices ( without the various discounts ) range from 1500 - 3000 Koruna, which with the exchange rate being circa. 27 Koruna to the £ makes their ticket prices range from £55 - £110......

Been talking online to several Sparta Praha supporters and they believe that we will be getting over 2000 tickets as Arsenal and Manure did several years ago......here's hoping that they are right so that more Reds get tickets

That would be nice - wonder if 2,000 would travel though.

some plane prices seem to have dropped again suggesting not a massive take up so far.

Could be a great trip I reckon

One lad from Prague say's that in the Champions League qualifier in July that Lech Poznan were given 2300 for their match at Sparta Praha.

Think some are getting Xmas out of the way to see what funds are left before booking. Would be good to have 2000+ over there though......

CSKA Moscow got 2000 tickets in the group stage, although both teams were through so it was a nothing game and Sparta may have been more accommodating, for CSKA fans though it was the one to do as easiest for visas.

Looking forward to this as went to Liberec in 2000 and to Prague for a weekend in 2008, did a tour of grounds last time and Sparta's is quite a way out, about 20 minutes on a tram if I remember right at the end of a line and very basic Championship standard at best.

All other previous matches point to 2000+ so I'd be disappointed if we got less......

Reading through the comments on their website and the Sparta Praha fans are well pissed off with the price of tickets and many saying that they will watch on tv.

keep a look out Gary, have just asked them on their website what our allocation is likely to be..

Assume you were down as anonymous and their reply was 2200, so looking evermore like we will get over 2000......

That's what they are charging their fans ( £55+ ) but there are 40% and 50% discounts for pass hold, fans that have attended previous matches I believe. Their supporters are not at all happy at the prices which have been increased a lot and they feel that they are being ripped off for this match because it's against Liverpool and the club are using the match as a big money maker apparently. It depends where we come in the scheme of things I suppose as to whether they rip us off as well or give us the usual price. Guess we will be ripped off as well!

I think they might be. I don't know if any of you came across what happened for the Zilina vs Chelsea game in the CL this season but Zilina did a very similar thing with the ticket prices and only gave Chelsea the bare minimum of an allocation (400 odd) an all.

http://britskibelasi.footballunited.com/2010/08/30/ticket-prices-zilina-v-chelsea/

We'll just have to wait see I suppose.

Be lucky if 1,000 actually travel I reckon.

I know Bucharest was cold and pre-Christmas but we were very thin on the ground, thankfully a few local reds turned up in our end,

Still think it'll be a great trip tho
