how Reina and Torres aren't starting , Hodgson say they will .. it's strange !

Roy finally throws a leaked lineup curveball...and it's for a dead rubber match.  :P

I'm happy with that team, it's a fantastic chance for a few youngsters to gain experience. My only issue would be is it what the paying fans want to see?

I will be chuffed if Torres and Pacheco get to play up top together at some point also.
i read sumwhere up to 4 kids get free admission with a paying adult so who gives a shit

Watched most of the second half whilst throwing some (really shit) darts. Had to put them away after playing my game else I would of plunged them into my eyeballs and ripped them out.

Felt sorry for the young players who played plus any young fans who went to the game last night.

Going to start with the positives:

Thought Eccleston, Kelly, Wilson and Dani showed great promise.

Shelvey did ok 1st half but got lost in Roys tactics the second.

For me even though it was 0-0 some of the reserves showed they can do it when required.

about 30 yards too deep all game. and then he rubs his saggy face wondering why the wide mids and forwards are running around getting knackered and not getting anywhere.

ive never seen us sit so deep for such long periods of the game at anfield. oh hang on, we do it every other fucking week. GOD DAMNIT ROY DO YOU KNOW NOTHING? DONT YOU KNOW ANYTHING? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

then he comes out and keeps talking about torres. we dont fucking care that nando didnt play. he wouldnt have scored either in that shit "system"

After 3 mins our strikers were instructed to defend from halfway line and allowed Utrecht to pass around at their own pace. Awful

It was arguably one of the most disgusting games of football I've ever seen. I felt physically sick watching it.

Happy for Wilson to get a good run out. The second Pacheco came on he played a fantastic pass in to Babel (maybe Ecclestone).

Joe Cole, not only did you miss that chance but I wanted to punch you in the fucking face when your greedy ass took that free kick. Aurelio or Pacheco to take it, they are twice the players you are. We already have one greedy motherfucker who loves England, we dont need two!

Jammy b@stard, I turned it off after suffering an hour, turgid, dire, disgraceful waste of a fuckin hour of my life.
It's no wonder the squad players play shite when given the chance, they won't want to catch the first team and have to play those tactics every week.
Seriously considering swerving the game on Saturday......

One of the worst games Ive seen in a long time.

The lack of pressing from our forwards and midfielders when their defenders did nothing but pass it sideways was torture.

Phil Babb was quite entertaining on 3e last night. He couldn't believe that in a nothing game we still set up negatively that there was no reason to not play open football. The presenter who is normally rubbish came out with a classic, "well phil theres 2 hours of your life you'll never get back"

Personally I felt sorry for the kids who went hoping to see Torres and a few goals, I reckon we just swelled Evertons young fanbase by putting the kids through that.
Slowly but surely the cogs of the red machine are beginning to turn again.

Man what a 24 cold turkey I had without RAWK. My refresh key is destroyed!!

Right ill start with the positives and get them out of the way,.....none.

Now onto the negatives, fucking shocking stuff. For me this game was even more frustrating than Stoke and Wigan away. An absolute disgrace. I cant
describe how galling it was to see them made to look at least half decent by allowing them to ping it across there back 4 at will with no pressure whatsoever.
I hate to come back to Rafa again but for the most part we pressed as a team at home and made the opposition panic and make mistakes. These guys
were schmoking pancakes across the back four thanks to Woys dire tactics.

Some players out there irregardless of tactics were just utter shit. Poulsen was his usual self,...Babel was shite,....Jonjo Shelvery for me isn't going to cut it from
what ive seen. He's cute and clever on the ball, good touch etc but for me he's very slow and just doesn't seem aggressive enough and pissed off enough to change
a game when its going shit, hope I'm proven wrong.

Alls I want for Christmas is this fucking chancer out of our club. I dread the damage this facerubbing tool will do given money to spend in the window.

agree with that, though tactics dont ever allow talent to shine.

and the negatives...?

Well bloody hell that was the worst game I have ever seen for a longtime.

The back 4 - Roy likes his back 4 to be in one line and not play the ball out from the back. Kelly was hardly getting forward in the 1st half, Fabio the second.

Midfield - Joe Cole on the left just isnt working for us. We need him on the ball and Roy cant see this. Poulsen is a waste of space. Why we need a DM player when our back 4 is in a straight line I will never now.

Forward - The less I say about Babel the better. Shocking.

Roy - Tactics totally wrong, takes off Jav and Eccleston who I thought were both playing well.

Overall it was painful, suffered slowly.
