Remember the Fulham result againt Juve, last seasons Europa, they won something like 5-4 on aggregate after at one point being 4-1 down. How i wish now that Fulham taken a right hammering that night.

Not remember them beating us 3-1 then ??

Did you know he  was he the Barclays Manager of the Year last year?

First I've heard of it.

And accolades here there and everywhere, once won an under 12's painting contest, fucker was 49 when he won it though.
Honestly, what are these accolades, a smattering of premiership titles, with a Champions league thrown in...

I genuinely hate him now.
You have posted literally nothing of substance to flame about.  Your "points", and I dread to call them that, were superficial and completely arbitrary.  Nothing you said could be argued against because nothing you said elaborated a position of any kind.

Roy, it was the media that got you the manager of the year award, the same media that got Ryan Giggs his player of the year award (how many games did he start that year), the same media that started banging the drum in August for Paul Scholes to be the next player of the year, the same fucking media who sadly our Board & a few fools listened to.

Roy, most of us knew you were never a good manager, certainly not of the calibre to manage a great club like ours, but i admit that i never realised how much of an embarrassment you actually are when you open your mouth.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson insists he is at Anfield "for the long haul" after coming under pressure following a poor start to his time at the club.

Hodgson told Sky Sports News: "You read these ridiculous websites that we have and resignation has never once entered my thought and, what's more, never will.

Oh bollocks...

I'm not happy with the man as manager, certainly not happy with the way the players are carrying themselves, looking forlorn and lost of ideas at times. I don't like the tactics, and I don't like some of the things that have been said in interviews. Worst of all, the football has been very poor at times and the results are desperate.

BUT this man is the current manager, he has worked as a professional in the game for many years, at all levels, he did go through a process to get the job, and I don't for a minute believe he is deliberately trying to do down the club.

It saddens me to see the mud slinging, the moaning and groaning and the personal comment coming out. I think that so many of us got so angry and worked up about the two muppets and now that they're gone that frustration has been directed at the manager. Things are tough right now, on the field. Results are desperate, times that virtually none of us have known as Liverpool supporters.

I'm not saying we should all agree with what he does or says, but treat him with the respect he deserves.
I didn't think it was time for Rafa to go, like so many here, I also had other ideas about who should succeed him, but many reds I know were made up at the prospect of Roy, reds I respect, who know what they're talking about.

It's not been good enough, but I've always and will always believe that the role of supporters is not to act as the baying pack when there's a scent of blood. If the football and results continue like this there is no doubt there will be a change. Sooner or later. The new owners will determine when the time is up, when they feel they have the compotencies to make that call and appoint someone of the right calibre to take up the reins.

For now though, this fella is doing his best (I believe) He's not deliberately devisive, and he wants the club to succeed. He didn't take over in anything resembling ordinary circumstances, and it's only been two weeks since we didn't know if we were going to get bought, put in administration, flogged to some shark.

I guess I'm saying, don't forget how much worse things were just two weeks ago, and let's keep things in perspective. He's the manager and it's not happening for him. He's not done himself too many favours, but ultimately he wants the same things we all do. Not like T&G, he doesn't deserve the same vilification they got. He's on our side, ultimately. Give the man a break.

I have no doubt I'll get slated for that. Such is life.

Very well said! The bold bit is the worst part of the 'legacy' left by H&G. I never knew LIverpool fans as bitter and angry but that's what we are right now and we're looking for targets to aim at. It's sad but it will get better. For some Hodgson going would make it better but I think that's short-sighted. He does DESPERATELY need results to start coming soon, though, and we'll see where we are at Christmas.

With a current Board of Ian Ayres and NESV we may be a little light on decision making power at the moment so I doubt whther anything is imminent - but Frank won't be around for long.

If you haven't seen enough by now then you'll never be convinced.  He is easily the worst manager we've ever had...on par with Souness.  FORGET results, it's his manner of setting up the team, even Ged wasn't so defensive.

You'll thank me for that mental image later.

he has worked as a professional in the game for many years, at all levels

that's the thing though - he hasn't. he's spent the vast majority of his career at small clubs or in small, insignificant leagues.

he is simply incapable (at his age and after his 35 blah blah years of management) of changing his mentality to that of a big club - it's evident in his expectations, his tactics, his approach, his results and his comments.

expecting anything to change now is simply delusional.

So basically it is everybody under the sun's fault except for Roy's and no matter how bad it gets and no matter how much he embarrasses the Club and himself on the pitch and in the media he won't do the honorable thing and resign EVER.

Why doesn't that surprise me about you Roy.

You took the UAE job and claimed the players were lazy and uncoachable, given that and the fact that you were in the supposed best years of your Coaching career You quit Right.

Nope you stuck it out for nearly two even though you only won an embarrassing 23% of your games, taking your tax free wages right up until they fired you for finishing an embarrassing fifth in the World renowned Gulf Cup.

You walked out on Copenhagen who had treated you absolutely brilliantly to take the Udinese job, unfortunately you quickly realised YOU had made a horrendous mistake. So you did the right thing and go to the Chairman and held your hands up.

Erm not quite, You are a fighter after all and it is NEVER your fault. So sod that for a game of soldiers, you decided you would use the press and blamed everyone under the Sun for YOUR failures. Culminating in turning on the Chairman who had given you the chance and laughably blamed him for giving YOU the job.

Guess what you got Sacked AGAIN and got your lovely payoff.

So No I am not one bit surprised that you are up to your old tricks again Roy. Blaming everyone under the sun for YOUR ineptness and making frankly inflammatory and bizarre statements to the press leaving your employer very little option but to sack you.

Take a look at Gordon Strachan and do the right thing for once in your life, admit your part in Liverpool's demise and fall on your sword whilst you still have a shred of reputation and dignity left.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

................when we had two players sent off.  Don't overlook that fact.  We'd dominated play in the first half and went one down to their first attack.  Torres equalised and then we had two players sent off, Carragher gave away one of his customary daft penalties etc etc.  I was at the match.  It was one of those games.  Fulham still played crap but it's easy to pick holes in a team when you've got two more players on the pitch
