just sent a little reply to Scott on the NYT page -
Scott, your response does you little credit and is almost as bad as the "Blow Me, F***-Face" e- mail that the son of one of Liverpool FC clubs owners (who was a member of the Board of Directors at Liverpool Football Club at the time) sent to a fan.
The original message displayed on here, sent by a Liverpool fan in despair at how Messrs Hicks and Gillette have ruined a once great club, was polite and attempting to inform people just how much we as fans care about what is happening at our club.
Your response was rude and ignorant.
There is an ongoing campaign by Liverpool supporters trying to raise awareness of the damage done by Tom Hicks and George Gillette and sending e mails to various organisations, both financial and media institutions is part of that.
The campaign is ongoing, and will carry on until Hicks and Gillette fulfil their promise to sell the club. Refinancing their debt is not an option that any Liverpool fan would be happy with and we are determined to do as much as we can, in a peaceful way, to ensure that does not happen.
Our club is very important to us and we will not just sit back and let it be driven into a spiral of debt and the resulting poor performances on the pitch.
I hope that some of the more intelligent of NYT readers will understand that Scott, even if you can't.
Now if you will excuse me, I will go and type a few more e mails, using all my fingers and not just my knuckles!
