Just as a matter of interest,Deutsche Bank is one of the banks helping Hicks to set up his latest SPAC.So it could be that he was there on business related to that,rather than us.

I think JPMorgan may be one of the banks chasing Hicks as a result of the suspect deal where he changed the ownership of the Texas Rangers to another company in violation of his loan agreement.

I'd have done the same as you in reaction to the NY Cop, but it's pretty outrageous that he tried to impede your constitutional right to freedom of speech. Just because Hicks is some rich  / formerly rich fat fuck businessman, this doesn't mean you're not allowed to go up to him in a public street and give him a piece of your mind. The Cop had no law on his side, but  as you say, it wouldn't have been worth your trouble to disobey him...

The cop was referring to the fact that the UN was in session yesterday.  It's only a few blocks away from Park and 48th, where JP Morgan is.  Obama is coming into town today, so they probably had even more security preperations going on then normal.  There was extensive police activity in the area all day.  I would have liked to gone down, but used my better judgement, as the place was littered with cops that were all on edge.  At least they were when I walked into work yesterday morning.
