Thought Webb reffed well today, we got our fair share of decisions and he let the game flow when he could.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

always the same with Haward webb gets most decisions correct but he always gets one of the game changing decisions wrong. the linesman gave the penalty and the free kick as webb missed both and then he bottled the sending off which might have cost us the game or at least a point.

the big decisions always go inn the mancs favour as weve seen lots of times.

Please tell me how.

The rules are, its a dismissal if the player denies another from a clear goalscoring opportunity. There is no way Torres would of got to the ball.

Did sky tell you that if he's the last man he has to go? Bollocks.

I have no time for Webb but he was correct. Yellow card and a free in.

Check the rules if you want

Yes he would. The through ball from Meireles was perfectly weighted.

Free in - towards their goal.

Free out - away from their goal.

Maybe its a colloquialism?

It was a red card offence, if O'shea shared your oppinion that Torres wasn't going to get the ball why the hell would he foul him. He denied Torres the opportunity to make it a goal scoring chance.

Should have been sent off, wouldn't have been on the pitch to cross to berbatov for the winner and we would have had a different result.

Howard Webb is possibly the most biased ref i have ever seen and i'm not even forgetting about  mike riley in making that statement.

Watch it again mate. Unless Torres turns into th little fella out of the Incredibles he has no chance of getting it.

Its practically in Edwins hands just after Torres bites the deck.

Did you know that Football was designed to be a perfect human sport? Where none suffered, where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the rules. yes it was a clear goal scoring opportunity, nandos got a rocket stuck up his backside and would have got to it in half a heartbeat which is more than enough time for him to get to the ball skin van der sar and knock the ball into an empty net. Now fuck off its long past your bedtime.

Torres is quick...I'll give you that but could he make up about 15 yards in around 1.5 seconds?

Howard Webb was not the problem today.

Was I the only one completely irate when Poulsen shoulder-barged Nani and Webb clearly waved to him to get up, then when we were looking like having a good break on, pulled it back? At least I thought thats what happened.

Was that when he went down with cramp and Carra kicked the ball out? Was fucking fuming we didn't ignore the cheating twat and play on.

I also think that it was a red but Webb let us off the hook a few times(a couple of fouls around the box and a handball by Carra) so it all evens up.

Intent for what? Intent to foul Torres? Well, yes. He fouled Torres. Did Torres have a clear goalscoring opportunity? Not unless he is 'The Flash'.

Torres was nowhere near the ball therefore it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity.

Was O'Shea the last man? Yes. That's not the rule though Purdy.

I have looked at it around 10 times....just to make sure I saw what the rest of you saw. Not in a million years would Torres got to it.

He was the last man and the ball was there to be won by Torres.  It was a red card offence every day of the week.

Howard bottled the most important decision of the game, I'd love to say I'm surprised but I'm not..Mancs will always place refs under pressure and if he had given the red as he should have he would be getting torn apart by Fergie and all his mates in the media now.

I think you and other s are judging it because Torres was on the floor for most of the balls travel time and cannot judge properly where he wouldve been. He's twice (at least as fast as Van der cheat. He wouldve got their and in my opinion its a red card.

But of course its a close decision, and its us at Old Trafford with the drunk watching. Fucking no chance

Does that matter?

By the letter of the law, if you're the last man and you take out the attacker, it's a red card.
