They're still waiting for it to come down.

Nope, was on the 11 o'clock news that it nearly killed an old woman in Greenland. Might not have been him, but it was the same direction and the ball had the Barclay's logo so I connected 2+2 and got Roy out 4

And here was I thinking that the days watching someone as good as Djmi Traore were long gone.

This bloke is utterly shocking. The fact that Hodgson thought he could do a job for us typifies the knowledge of our manager (or maybe for the want of a better passage, the lack of ambition he holds for us).

I still can't understand why we haven't seen Carragher blown up at Paul (unless I've missed it?).

There is no way on God's earth I would rather have Konchesky in the team ahead of Insua.

Infact i;d rather have a half fit with one leg hanging off Aurelio playing.

Truely awful player.

Brings nothing to the team.

Where the hell is Aurelio?

Why did we sign this substandard player?

Can't defend. Can't attack.  What's the point?

The idiot who signed him and the idiot upstairs who sanctioned this purchase should be sacked.

Even when Fabio's back, you just know he's not getting a game ahead of Konchesky. Roy just doesn't seem to or simply won't acknowledge that this guy has been very poor in his time here. That free kick towards the end summed up everything since he arrived at the club. The lad is out of his depth I'm afraid to say.

You mean consistently bad? Yep, I agree.

We actually paid 5 mp for this guy and kicked out Insua :(

Of all the positions, LB is the one we need to spend money on straight away in January with a 15m+ splash in the market to show that we mean business and have a real future. The stats show that we bleed goals from the left side. The decision would also hold off thoughts of summer departures. I can cope with other positions being vacant until summer because we can at least use the season to blood young players like Pacheco and Shelvey.

Konchesky is quite clearly not good enough, but is Salcido really that much better? 30 already, never played in a top European division and hasn't exactly set the world alight for Fulham yet. Pretty ridiculous that so many people are suggesting that he would have been boss for us. I can't imagine that the majority had ever seen him play, apart from in the WC and against us in the past couple of seasons. Don't let reason cloud your judgement though, I suppose it didn't stop Purslow appointing Hodsgon.

Alarm bells should have been ringing when Fulham weren't making a big fuss to keep him and were more than happy to replace him with Salcido.

We should have just gone for Salcido - whether or not he's better, he'd have paid less, and not lost two youngsters in the process.

£3.5m + 2 youngsters wasn't it? And seeing as LDV was reported to be worth quite a bit (£3.5m or so), that just scares the shit out of me what ended up paying for PFK.

But seriously, where the fuckity fucking fuck is Fabio Aurelio? He came on for about 20 minutes against Napoli, looked solid, and we haven't seen him since. Not even on the bench! If he was injured surely we'd hear about it? IF he's not, then Roy's got some explaining to do.

there is a good reason why RB decided that it's best to let Aurelio go.
there must also be a good reason why RH decided that it's best to re-sign Aurelio.

Although i was disappointed when we signed him,i thought i'd give him a chance as Insua was poor last season and Dossena was also pretty inconsistent. As for Aurlelio, well we know about him don't we? Always injured.

Well, after seeing him against Stoke last night i've made up my mind.He is awful.Absolutely terrible.

...and as for 'that' free-kick.....utter shit!

Have to say I've changed my opinion of him. Thought he'd only be a decent squad player for us. But he's not even that. Absolutely shocking. Seems absolutely petrified to put a tackle in and has no confidence at all going forward.

So, a left back who can't defence or attack. Joy. Four year contract too. Cheers Purslow.

precisely, whats the point in getting a a topclass striker if the service coming into the strikers is as bad as it is at the moment. konchesky must be averaging less than 3 crosses a game by my count and its not coming in much more/ better from the right either

We missed a big opportunity to put this position right in the summer. Instead we have wasted 16m pounds on Konchesky and we are no better off in fact we are worse because Insua could at least attack.

The worst thing is even if Hodgson goes where stuck with Konchesky for the season, as he has already played for Fulham this season so can't play for a 3rd club.

There's no need for personal abuse mate. We can all see the lad is not good enough. That free kick at the end summed up his Liverpool career to date I'm afraid and he's undoubtedly been a weak link in a back line which has lacked any real cohesion or teamwork all season. I felt we were getting a decent player when he arrived, someone with substantial Premier League experience who would be a good stop-gap signing until someone with greater quality was brought in once we secured new investment. Unfortunately his level of performance has been woeful and he looks like a poor acquisition.

This lad is criminally underrated by Liverpool fans. I mean that, this lad has the potential to go absolutely bananas one day. People criticise him for playing poorly but he was absolutely awesome under Rafa. Give him time kopites. If you play him, he will come..
